Cheers to almost-Friday! Don’t you love the promise that Thursday holds?! Sometimes I like it even better than Friday, with the sweet anticipation of the weekend to come. Except this weekend marks the end of our precious family time at the beach, so boo for that.
Next week will be chock-full of all that goes with back-to-school, so don’t mind me while I cling to this final weekend with a white knuckle grip!
Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.
Mr. SP and I took advantage of the kids at camp with back-to-back date nights…I kept it casual with this fun ruffle top and sandals.
The next night I swapped my top and sandals for another easy night out look.
This raw-hem skirt was one of my most unexpected finds this Summer…I was shocked by how often I reached for it.
Fit Tip: Size down in the skirt, I wear a 25.
This darling cotton dress is fully-lined with the cutest tassel ties and embroidered hem…you’ll never guess the price!!
This flutter-sleeve top is gauzy-light and so comfortable for steamy days. These cut-offs have been my favorite shorts of the season.
Out of Office.
This popover top was cute and comfy for a day of travel.
Pink + Pineapples = cutest dress ever! It didn’t hurt having giant pink balloons as a backdrop, either!
The up side of heading home, is knowing we’re coming back to a clean house! Am I the only one who cleans like a maniac before leaving town? I like to leave it nice of our house/pup sitter, but it’s also the best feeling to come home to.
The best part of my day is always when I get change back to pajamas! These pants are crazy soft, and I pair them with my favorite everyday t-shirt.
Same favorite tee, same favorite cut-offs.
Here’s a peek at what I packed, which is funny because I mostly just wore swimsuits and pajamas.
This striped top has a thick waffle weave and fun adjustable bow-back. And yep, I wear these sandals with everything from cut-offs to dresses.
This hooded cardigan is quite-possibly my single favorite item in my closet now. It even came with me to the beach for wrapping up at night.
I’m always a sucker for stripes and racerback, and this linen-blend swing dress makes a great cover-up, too.
We spend a lot of time playing in the ocean, so this high-neck suit has been in heavy rotation. It allows me to jump and ride the waves without a wardrobe malfunction.
This cotton t-shirt dress has a flattering racerback shape and longer length, and makes a daring cover-up, as well.
That’s it for today, I hope you found some new outfit inspiration, and fresh ideas for mixing things up in your closet! Also, how versatile are these sandals?! I had no idea I’d been wearing them so frequently! But it’s clear why I reach for them all the time…not only are they chic and comfy, but they literally go with everything from cut-off shorts to evening dresses! Mine are the ‘makeup’ color, and the perfect neutral for my skin tone.
