Sugarplum Style, Vol. 41

Cheers to Friday, friends, and happy St. Patty’s Day! What’s on your weekend agenda? We’re going to see the new Beauty and the Beast tonight, and I think Mr. SP and I are more excited than Little Miss! I hope it lives up to the trailers. If not, at least I have popcorn and Milk Duds. What’s your movie snack combo?

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things. It was fortunate enough to travel twice since the last one, so it’s a mixed bag of styles!

This tee is definitely my favorite addition in the last month…insanely soft, relaxed fit, and sporty stripes. These are also the only pair of jeans I took on our entire weeklong trip…I love them that much! Great mid-rise, dark rinse (no distressing), and fit comfortably with a hefty amount of stretch.

Fit Tip: Both the top and jeans are true to size. Size down half in the sneakers though.

We spent the day exploring Las Vegas, so I went with another comfy combo of jeans and a tee…with my go-to utility jacket, of course.

Fit Tip: The utility jacket is a closet staple, for sure, but size down one! I’m in an XXS.

We wanted to see JLo or Reba, but Cher was was the best of what’s available…and holy moly that woman is well-preserved!!! I’m not convinced it was her the entire show, but there’s no question she’s killing it at 70! (YES! Cher is SEVENTY!!!) #goals Anyway, I loved the chance to whip out my sassy boots…which paired perfectly with this draped top (now on sale for $20!).

Remember I told you my girlfriend is #baller. I mean, total #BALLER. As in, this is her plane. And we flew it to Las Vegas. Where we were picked up by a limo. #alternatereality So what does one wear when flying private? Joggers and sneakers, of course! We may have even brought a pizza with us. #klassy

Again with the jacket. And the sneakers! They are pretty much my Fall and Spring standbys. And with a striped tee, it’s the perfect Spring uniform.

I never met a gingham I didn’t love. In fact, it’s my life’s goal to acquire one in every color. I mean, we have to dream big, right?! How about gingham pajamas in the softest, lightest material?! #sold I’ve carried this book with me on both trips, but have yet to crack it open. I guess I’m too busy pining for gingham to improve my mind.

Fit Tip: Size up in the pajamas!

Living life and hiking mountains with this guy for almost 22 years! Admittedly, he’s had to physically pull me up both a time or two.

Fit Tip: You don’t really need me to say it again, but I will because I’m nothing if not annoying thorough…size down one! I’m in an XXS.

So odd that I’ve literally gone from sweaters to off-the-shoulder tops…and back again…all in the same month. I’m ready for the warm to stick so I can get this outfit on repeat.

Fit Tip: Jeans are my favorite white pair, but size down! Flats are cushy soft, and true to size.

Peplum is having a big moment…and I’m loving it on this structured top. And obviously there’s not such thing as too much leopard! This clutch is amazingly under $50.

Can you tell I’m heaving for air in this pic?! The hike + altitude had Mr. SP giving me the side-eye. #mamaw Never fear though, I’m confident I could climb any mountain in these hiking shoes. Seriously the best pair ever. Okay, maybe not any mountain…but a mountain. Some mountains.

Our kids pretty much handle their own bags and luggage when we travel now, but I still like to be extra-comfortable in case I’m needed. You know, to delegate or something. I wore this same combo for both flights, only swapping out the tees. Is that travel savvy, or poor packing? I’m going with savvy. Also, this bag is a work horse!
