Sugarplum Style, Vol. 35

Cheers to Friday! Crazy to think we started this week on the coast, and we’re ending it at a glow-in-the dark trampoline party. Kids birthday parties are so fancy now, right?! Mr. SP doesn’t know it yet, but I’m also hoping to pull the Christmas tree out of the attic this weekend. What big plans do you have?

Today it’s your monthly dose of Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits I post to InstaGram and Facebook  created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. Thanks to cooler weather and a birthday-trip, some cozier looks are finally making their way in the bunch.

I like to be super-comfy when I travel, but still look fairly stylish…you know, on the off-chance they decide to upgrade me! #neverhappens This shirt is seriously soft like pajamas, but thicker, and the jeans stretchy like leggings. I love that this scarf wears like a blanket scarf, but without the bulk (it’s already triangle shaped…and only $25!)

Hoop Earrings | Deer Print Bag (15% off with code VIP15)

We arrived after dark, so waking up to this view was the happiest surprise. As was the Ugg weather! (You’re not surprised I packed my beloved kitten-cardi, are you!?)

Touring the small wineries with the always-hilarious Mr. SP as my designated driver made for a very happy birthday to me! Also, I didn’t realize just how often I wear my utility jacket until this post!! (Size down one, I’m wearing an XXS)

This sweater had me at pink and ruffles! And don’t get me started on the blush and berry color combo. These comfy wedge booties were a birthday treat to myself…I really do give the best gifts. šŸ˜‰

This cowlneck swing dress was my go-to all Summer (now on sale for $25!), and I love how easily it transitions for cooler temps. The long-sleeve version is super-cute and flattering, too.

Maggie Sugarplum and I sporting our matching camel coats. Mine is only $35.
Casual night out in stripes and animal print. People still stop me daily to touch and comment on this bag! And this week only, all bags are 15% off with code VIP15!

My key to starting the week off right? Wear all your happy brights together!

I’m so excited it’s finally plaid season! I like to girly them up by adding a pearl cluster or crystal necklace…makes the whole look more feminine and less lumberjack.

Found: Leopard infinity scarf. Crazy, soft, not overwhelmingly huge, perfect neutral tones, and only $25!

When you really want to be home in pajamas, but the pull for tacos is too strong…that’s usually when I reach for this cardi (now on sale in tons of colors!). #itsthatsoft

I don’t know which I liked better…these views, or the sweater and boots weather! See more of this look in yesterday’s Cozy & Cute Thanksgiving Outfits post

I can hardly wait to share more from our trip, and this long cardigan…both are pretty much awesome.

If there was a Fall Committee, I’d appoint myself president, and name this the official uniform. Stripes + Plaid + Utility Jacket = wining combo. Always.

This striped tunic top is long enough for leggings, but just as cute with skinny jeans. Or maybe it’s just those wedge booties…they make everything cute!

Color is my signature color, but is there anything more classically chic than camel?

For the trek home, I repeated the cozy shirt, but added my favorite leggings for even more comfort. I don’t typically fly in knee-high boots, but my bag may or may not have been over the weight limit thanks to our winery stops. #oops

I was so instantly smitten with my birthday-booties, I created outfits around them for no reason. That’s normal, right?!

I hope these posts inspire you to create new combinations from your closet! The key isn’t to have more clothes, but to mix up what you do have in new and different ways. Except this jacket and these booties, you need those. And if we’re being honest, these leggings, too. #trustme #enabler

  4. I grabbed burgundy wedges during the Nsale and I was the same…love them so much I totally create outfits just so I can wear them! I've got my eye on yours in the olive green..thinking I'd feel the same about those!

  5. Happy Birthday!!! And welcome back Uggs!! I mean, its 80 here in Charleston today, but I've gotten to wear mine twice. I'm heading into my closet right now to pull stripe shirt/plaid scarf combos. I do want an upgrade to my olive utility jacket though, in an anorak style. Heading to Target for that!

  7. You are crazy good at putting pieces together. Curious, how would you accent a black long-sleeved, mock-neck, swing dress for a Dec. 31 wedding? Thanks-
