Can you even believe Thanksgiving is exactly a week away?! I feel like we’re still recovering from our Halloween sugar-coma, and now Christmas trees are popping up everywhere. I usually wait until after Thanksgiving to get the tree out, but I may cave early this year. Some of my excitement is likely because we put the tree in the Dining Room. 😉
We’ll celebrate Thanksgiving a couple of times, and even though both are casual gatherings, it’s still fun to wear something cute. Correction…cute, yet still cozy enough for all the lounging and eating! #givethankstolycra
Today I’m sharing two Cute & Cozy outfits I wore last week at the charming Little River Inn, that would be perfect for a casual Thanksgiving celebration.

We’ll start with my all-time favorite leggings…because hello, room for seconds! I love that they are super opaque so no skin shows through, and the wide waistband is comfortable without rolling down.
Some people think leggings are pants, and will wear them with any length top. I am in the opposite camp, and strongly believe that leggings are not pants, and only longer, tunic-style tops should be worn with them. #coveryourladybitsladies
Fit Tip: The leggings are true to size, and I’m wearing an XS. I’ve had this exact pair for over a year, and have washed and dried them countless times with no shrinking or fading. They are also a great length for shorter boots, or tucking in knee-boots.

Fit Tip: The tunic sweater is true to size, but go with petite sizing if you prefer it a little shorter. I’m wearing a Petite XS, which I love with jeans, but it’s almost too short for leggings on me.

The second look is a little more classic, and a great option especially if leggings aren’t your jam. These jeans hug your body so comfortably, plus have extra give for that extra helping! (Notice the theme here? #oink)
I paired them with a timeless sweater and a little touch of plaid, for a preppy twist. (See the sweater styled 3 Ways here.)

Fit Tip: The sweater runs true, and is a great price for cashmere! I’m wearing an XS.

I’ll have more on our trip to the Mendocino Coast, and the historic Little River Inn soon, but can you believe those coastal views?! They’re visible from virtually everywhere on the property, and quite the backdrop for morning coffee!

Both great choices! I love the layered sweater look on you!!!
What a beautiful place….and that cozy pink tunic just makes you want to do nothing but curl up with coffee and a book.
Loving those booties even though the color is my least favorite vegetable! Why can't I like beets? 🙂
That tan sweater looks EXACTLY like one I got at Target last year for $14.99!!!
I just ordered the leggings. And I'm with you…they're not pants!
I've worn leggings in the past but they end of stretched out at the knee. I hope these don't end up doing that.
I pick my clothes based on what color the entree is (think spots!). Since we're doing a family chili feast on Sunday, I'll wear a red sweater with jeans. On Thanksgiving day, I might even dare to wear my cream fisherman's knit sweater with brown jeans. Luckily that sweater is very machine washable. Fashion tip: match your menu.
Your trips make me swoon!
Oh my gosh! I was at Little River Inn last weekend for dinner. The Mendocino Coast is home for us. I would have freaked out if I saw you there. It would be a celebrity sighting in our tiny town : )
We were there Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!! We ate in the bar Thursday night, and the restaurant Friday night…would have been so fun to see you! You're a lucky lucky girl to live in that gorgeous area!
Those are both great outfits. Thanks for sharing. Do you think those leggings are long enough for someone tall with long legs? My daughter has trouble finding them.
