Sugarplum Style, Vol. 32

Cheers to Friday! I’ve spent the last three days sweating it out at 5th grade camp as Little Miss’s cabin chaperone (pretty much living in my favorite workout pants), and as much fun as we’ve had, I’m looking forward to a weekend with my own bed and sound machine! #addictedtowhitenoise What’s on your agenda?

Today it’s your monthly dose of Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits I post to Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. It’s still pretty warm around here, but we’ve had a few doses of down-right pleasant weather, so there are teases of Fall mixed in the Summer bunch.

I’m all-in when it comes to white jeans after Labor Day. In fact, I wear mine year-round. I’m working on a new {Five Ways} for you, but you can see past style inspirations with them here and here. I paired them with this fun peplum top and tassel for a girl’s night out.

Oh look, here they are again with a punchy tunic blouse and block-heeled sandals. These shoes have been getting a lot of wear in this transitional period…the open-toe keeps them cool, but the suede and dark cognac make them perfect for early Fall.

Color blocked Clutch (only $25!) | Suede Block Sandals

Are you sick of this dress yet? I have it in three colors, so you’ve seen it a lot! See it styled for cooler weather in this Now & Later.

This dress is nearing the end of it’s season because of the linen, but I’m already dreaming of next Summer when I’ll pull it out again. It’s so fun on it’s own, but I couldn’t resist pairing it with leopard and colorful tassels.

I wore this dress in green all over Italy…so chic with sandals or sneakers…but also a great cover-up, so I jumped at the chance to grab this gorgeous cobalt blue version when it went on sale. It comes in a great stripe, too, but I’m resisting. For now.
Gingham + Leopard forever.

Gingham Shirt | Statement Necklace (only $25!) | Bootcut Jeans | Leopard Heels

Dallas lucked out with the second location of a Draper James store, and they were sweet enough to invite me in for a sneak peek. The decor had me swooning…almost as much as this dress. #huminahumina

Floral Dress

Clearly pink has been a theme lately. And can you believe this J.Crew-esque statement necklace is only $25?!

Similar Blouse | Statement Necklace | Favorite White Jeans
Wedges | Sunglasses | Leopard Belt

Same dress, different color. #toldyou

Bandeau tops usually smoosh the goods…or what goods I do have. But not this one. It has built-in cups that actually keep (and create) shape. And the color is gorgeous.

Simple, but sassy date night out. #ifIdosaysomyself

Same peplum top and white jean combo as the first outfit, but ‘Falled-up’ with a darker tassel and cut-out booties.

This is actually from the #HSPdressingroomdiaries, but it received more attention than any other post, so I thought I’d include it. I’m kind of obsessed with all the flutter sleeves!

I hope these posts inspire you to create new combinations from your closet! The key isn’t to have more clothes, but to mix up what you do have in new and different ways. Except this top and these jeans, you need those. #trustme #enabler

  3. It must be hard to look cute in everything. I mean, how do ever decide on what to wear? Now come home from camp.
