Cheers to Friday!! How’s your week been? The kids and I have had a great few days at the beach, but we’re excited Mr. SP will finally be here tonight! We’ve fallen in love with this island, and every year we stay just a little bit longer. Yesterday, Little Miss said, ‘I could live here. Or at least spend the whole Summer here!’ Don’t temp me little one!

But today we have some business to tackle around here, because ya’ll…it’s the final weekend of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! That means Monday it’s full price for all these darling Fall (and some Summer) pieces! And ain’t nobody got time for full price! Now is your chance to scoop up wardrobe staples for the upcoming seasons…while it’s still up to 40% off! And even better, many items have been restocked!

The last few Fridays have been Texas-sized Dressing Room Diaries, where my darling mom and I reviewed tons of the best items in the sale. Today I’m sharing my favorite pieces, and what I would keep if only I had a money tree. Or a sugar daddy. Either would work just fine.

The sale has some really great investment pieces, but I have a few things I replace every year during the sale…starting with this scoop neck tee. It’s my favorite all-around tee for all occasions, and I always get a new white one, plus add a few new colors to my collection. I usually get a new pair of pajama pants and slippers, too. These slippers feel like heaven on your feet, but they’re a bit of an investment, so they’re with me for several years.

Fit Tip: The tee and pants run true to size (I wear XS), but size up in the slippers.

Zella is my favorite brand of workout wear, so I take advantage of the sale prices to get a few new pieces each year. My Nikes typically last me about a year before the tread wears away, so I replace them, too. This is my favorite style, they are insanely lightweight and so comfy!

Fit Tip: Zella pants run true to size for me (XS), but I always size up on in their tops (S). The Nikes are true to size.

I was thrilled to see my undies in the sale, so I stocked on a few more pairs. This way I won’t have to do laundry as often (they’re the only ones I wear anymore!). And I was thrilled to find an amazing new bra in the sale this year, too…and after wearing for just one day, I immediately ordered another color!

Fit Tip: I wear Small in the undies, and my usual size in the bra. It’s not full coverage, but that works for my smaller cup size.

Boots and booties are the most fun category to shop, because who doesn’t want new boots for Fall? I think I tried every last style, and these four were my absolute favorites and most versatile.

Okay, that covers the basics I grab first year year, now let’s talk about the clothes. I was already a fan of these bootcut jeans, but was surprised by this fun ruffle blouse. The pendant goes with virtually every top, too, and is light as a feather on your neck.

Fit Tip: Size down one in the jeans (I’m wearing a regular 0), and the top is true to size (XS).

There are tons of cardigans in this year’s sale, but my hands-down favorites are the cuddly kind…this hooded version (worn with my fave tee), and the draped style.

I kept an open mind when trying everything on this year, and was surprised the by some of the things I fell for…like this herringbone blazer. It looks shockingly expensive in person, and is a great staple piece for both causal and work wear. These skinny mid-rise jeans have been favorites for awhile.

Fit Tip: The jacket is true to size, but size down in the jeans.

I flagged this ruffed track jacket from the catalog, and it was the first piece I grabbed…even cuter than I’d hoped!

I live in jeans during the Fall and Winter months, but for some reason don’t have any rinses other than blue…these gray jeans fit like a glove (they have a built-in slimming waistband!), and are just as versatile as traditional blue denim.

Fit Tip: Jeans are true to size.

This cotton sleeveless sweater has a fun cowlneck and soft waffle weave…and darling worn alone now, or layered over a long-sleeve top later.

I’ve never owned cargo pants like these before, and was surprised by how much I loved them! They are incredibly neutral and versatile for all seasons, too.

Fit Tip: They are true to size, but I opted for petite for the shorter, cropped length.

I love the deep charcoal and soft fabric of this pullover, and the split back is a fun detail. I have a similar style and wear it non-stop in cooler months, even with workout leggings. And those boots!!! #love

I’ve always been a fan of pantsuits, but they’re either too long in the torso, or too short in the stride. Neither is a look I’m going for. This one fit perfectly and only required a simple hem.

This wrap jacket is a compliment-magnet…even in the dressing room, ladies were stopping me to ask about it. It’s a soft blush pink, and the ruffle detail goes around the back.  You could pair it with slacks or a pencil skirt for work, or any style boots for a weekend. These caramel knee-boots are stunning suede, with a comfortable block heel.

I’ve worn this top three times already…with jeans, white jeans, and shorts. It’s a crisp cotton poplin, wth a dipped back that’s both cool for this steamy weather, and darling. I’ve since ordered it in white, too. Also, the earrings are so light, you don’t even feel them!

There are so many more things that I absolutely adored, but that’s my short list and top faves. Now, let’s talk about Mama Sugarplum’s must haves…she’s a huge fan of the scoop neck tee, as well, and grabbed a few new colors, as well as this lightweight pendant, and the perforated booties in both black and taupe!

She’s alway looking for cute work wear, and loved these black and white pieces. The black jeans were favorites for both of us, and you can see how easily they dress up.

This cashmere hoodie is definitely a luxury item, but is as soft as it is darling.

If you can’t tell from her beaming face in this picture, this candy-colored striped sweater was her favorite of the bunch! I think I’ll be borrowing it!

Fit Tip: It runs large (but is meant to be slightly oversized), she’s wearing a petite.

She grabbed this merino wool cardigan for pairing with blouses and camisoles for work, and over tees on the weekend.

We loved both these cashmere sweaters, but she chose the tunic style to pair with jeans and leggings.
