Sugarplum Faves | February Top Five

Happy Monday and welcome back to a new week! We spent the weekend cheering our favorite volleyball player…pretty much a regular thing around here now. We love spending more time with her, and it’s incredible how much they improve from tournament to tournament!

Once we finished up yesterday, I put my dignity aside and posted a full swimsuit try-on session on my Instagram Stories. I shared an up-close, all-angle view of every swimsuit and coverup I packed our trip to Mexico. Hopefully it’s helpful in determining if it’s a good fit for your upcoming holidays. You can find the full video HERE.

Today I’m excited to share a new round of Sugarplum Faves, a series I started last year, but wasn’t good about keeping up with! #badblogger I’m constantly finding (and falling in love with!) new things, and since I’m an avid over-sharer, I can’t resist sharing them with you. You know I think of y’all as girlfriends, and therefore, can’t help but spill all my best finds with you.

These are the items that made my short list recently…

Leopard Loungewear Top & Pants //

Since I work from home, I absolutely live for loungewear! It’s like being dressed, but still feeling like you’re in PJs! I’ve worn this set more than anything else since finding it last month, and can’t recommend it enough!

Insanely soft and lightweight, with a brushed fleece feel, and available in the cutest patterns. Of course I’m privy to the leopard, and I love the sporty contrasting trim and jogger fit of the pants. I’ve washed and dried it several times, and it’s held up beautifully with no stretching or shrinking.

Not sure if I’d wear it out of the house, but I definitely feel like I made an effort when wearing it at home. It’s true to size and loose, I wear an XS in both the top and bottoms.

Wireless Charger //

Do you follow my Monday Mail Days on Instagram? It’s a fun new thing where I pop on Stories and share the best of my recent orders… kind of like a mini QVC show, ha! (See them HERE.) Anyway, this little disc was part of a recent haul, and quickly shot to the top of my ‘Makes Life Easier’ list!

It’s seriously one of those random things I didn’t know I needed, and now I can’t imagine not having it! This ultra-slim wireless charger sits inconspicuously, yet stylishly, on my desk, and provides a cord-free charge for all my devices from phone to air pods! It charges through my leather case with no problems, and the subtle light lets you know when it’s done.

Your phone covers the light completely, so it doesn’t bother you if using near your bed at night either. Charging cords seem to disappear quickly in my house, or even worse, wear out at the connector from all the use. With this little guy, he just sits in the same spot and is ready for a quick charge anytime. Seriously, just check out all the reviews!

Colleen Rothschild Facial Peel Pads //

My love for Colleen Rothschild products runs deep. I’ve used her skincare almost exclusively for years, and have turned most everyone in my life on to them, too. And a day doesn’t go by when I don’t hear from one of you who raves about the improvement in your skin since switching!

So when she released these Glycolic Facial Peel Pads, I couldn’t order them fast enough! They remind me of the Stridex pads of my youth, except stronger and larger. A daily spa-strength treatment formulated to help dissolve skin-clogging dirt and debris, while a whopping 10% blend of Glycolic and Lactic Acids target fine lines, hyperpigmentation and imperfections to reveal a fresher, brighter, more even complexion.

I have fairly sensitive skin, and do feel a slight burn after using them (which I like… it means they’re doing something!), but my skin doesn’t turn red or have any other reaction other than feeling extremely clean and moisturized! (No peeling either, despite the name!) I use them every other night on my face, neck and chest after washing with the Cleansing Balm, and before applying Retinol and Extreme Recovery Cream.

I love these Facial Pads so much I asked them for a discount code… y’all can save 20% with code SUGARPLUM20!

Crossbody Bag & Adjustable Strap //

This crossbody bag has been in several of my recent Amazon Fashion Hauls… it’s so good I keep adding new colors! The quilted faux leather and shape looks so designer, you’d never know it’s only $20! It’s roomy enough for all my essentials, and it easily dresses up or down.

And even better is I discovered the strap is removable… perfect for updating and changing the style with a new strap! I found these fun straps for only $10, and love creating new combinations. My current fave is a black bag with the green/red strap… so Gucci-inspired, don’t you think?

Gold Hoop Earrings //

Jewelry is always the easiest way to jazz up any outfit, and earrings tend to be my first-choice accessory. And more often than not, it’s hoops. From the moment my mom let me pierce my ears (on my 14th birthday!), I’ve worn gold hoops. They’re so classic, yet always on trend, and they go with literally every style of outfit.

I got these oversized hoops last year, and they quickly became go-tos for every outfit from jeans to dresses, regardless of the season. I love the brushed matte finish and bold, yet classic style. And even better, they’re beyond lightweight!!

As for your recent faves, these are the top sellers from the last month. Did any of them become new faves for you?

  2. Boucle Color Block Sweater from a surprise retailer!

Okay, that’s my latest Top Five! I didn’t intend to get so wordy, but clearly I’m passionate about these things! Do we share any favorites? What’s something you’re sharing with your girlfriends lately?

Hi! Which green/red strap did you like with the black bag? One has silver hooks, the other one I can’t really tell what the color the hooks are. Can you help =)??

I bought the glycolic acid peels on your recommendation and I have had two people comment on my skin. One said it looked brighter and the other said it looked good and asked had I had a facial. It was the only new thing I had done differently in my routine. I love the “fake awake” and the mascara you recommended recently too. I don’t think I have commented before but I love your blog and instagram. Thank you!

Does the cleansing balm do a good job on removing eye makeup or do you use something different for that? I have a really tough time finding a great eye makeup remover that does a good job and doesn’t irritate my eyes. Also – the jumbo size cleansing balm is gone from the website – do you know if it will be available at a later date? Thanks!

I love the balm on my eyes…it’s so gentle I can even open them! I rub and massage my face/eyes quite a bit with the balm (it feels so good!), then use the included cloth to wipe the balm and makeup away, along with some gentle exfoliation! I’m not sure about the jumbo balm, but I’ll ask bc I love that size!!!
