Easter is a time for celebration in our home. And while the occasion is more about the significance than the decor for us, I do like to make small treats for teachers and friends. Just something simple…an excuse to eat chocolate, really.
Spray paint the lids of small jars in fun Easter colors, then fill them with grass. The grass was poking out every which way, so I placed heavy objects on it for a few hours to help press it down. Then nestle the bunny in the middle and surround with candy eggs.
Rabbits don’t actually lay eggs, but it’s cute none the less. (Remember when we had a nest of newborn bunnies in our flower pot?!)
Make sure you wash the jars thoroughly first…nothing ruins the spirit of Easter faster than a whiff of stale salsa. #Ikid
I’ll wrap tags around the necks of the bottles for gifts…and they’d make cute placecards on your Easter table, too…don’t you think?
