Every now and again, I come across a dress or piece of clothing that warrants it’s own post. No {Five Ways} or {Day to Night} necessary…just a single outfit is all it takes to prove it’s perfection and appeal. Especially if I have the benefit of photographing it in a stunning location!
Such is the case with this pink and red dress I wore to last week’s Bloom Bash Workshop, set in the jaw-dropping Lange Farms. The venue was straight out of Gone with the Wind, with Spanish moss dripping from 100-year old trees, plantation-style architecture, wrap-around porches, and an abundance of sweet tea. It’s no wonder we were all so inspired!
I hope to share more of the gorgeous workshop with you soon, but I can’t think about that right now. If I do, I’ll go crazy! I’ll just think about that tomorrow. š #seewhatIdidthere #scarlettoharacalled
When I spotted this dress online, I knew it was perfect for my presentation at the workshop…and crossed my fingers it was just as perfect in person (especially since it’s more than I’d normally spend!). Turns out, it was even better!
My favorite color combination, flattering neckline, unexpected criss-cross back, and pockets!! If I were a dress, I’d be this dress.
I thought about pairing it with a neutral bag, but can never resist the chance to carry my favorite pom-pom clutch. (You lucky ducks can get it 20% off this week with code SUGARPLUM!!) The dress would be lovely with these heels, as well, but my nude wedges were a comfier option for standing all day…not to mention, leg-lengthening!
Fit Tip: I went with Petite sizing on the dress so it would fall just below my knee, as opposed to mid-shin. The material is thick enough to allow me to go braless, but I needed some lift and help to fill it out, so I’m wearing this bra. And can I say, where has this bra been all my life?!?!
What is it about pockets?! I think they should be a requirement for every dress and skirt. I don’t know what I love more…the dress, or the gorgeous location!
I wanted to call this post, ‘Raspberry Beret,’ in honor of Prince…but seeing as how I’m not actually wearing a hat, I thought that might throw you a bit. Plus, Prince was the single most influential artist and musician in Mr. SP’s life, so his death is still pretty raw over here. (Mr. SP was a professional musician before we had kids.) But you’re welcome for getting that song stuck in your head for the rest of the day. š
Thanks to my darling friend, Jen, for traipsing all over the farm to take my picture!
Stunning. Simply stunning.
Stunning as always!
Beautiful dress! And I will be passing on that code for the pom pom clutch on since its on my birthday wish list. Perfect timing! That location is stunning. Have a great day. š
It was SO perfect on you!! xxs
It just looks like you're swimming in it. Not super flattering. The high waistline makes you look much larger than you are but maybe it's a fashion thing that I don't understand.
Well, I think she looks lovely! š
Dang… the song is stuck in my head. Gorgeous dress! š
Which color is your Pom Pom clutch? Thanks!
Just saw it in the comments – sorry!! Love your posts Cassie.
Beautiful pics! I had a tanning question. I tried the jergans instant tan like you recommended and I love it! How often do you reapply it to prevent it from getting splotchy? Do you shave and exfoliate and reapply like every five days or so? Thanks!
Thanks Hillary! I reapply the tanner every 4 days or so…it just starts to fade, not really splotch. But yes, I repeat all the same steps to reapply, but don't have to be as diligent once that base color is on. xo
I'm missing Prince too! You look gorgeous in that dress, can't wait to hear more about your trip!
Adorable dress but may look even better if taken to a seamstress for a better fit.
Great look! You look amazing!
You rocked this dress, such a pretty statement maker! Had so much fun with you on this little getaway!
