{Outfit Inspiration} Green & Black

You guys know I am no wall flower when it comes to color…in my home or my wardrobe. But if you’re waffling and want to ease in to it a bit, try choosing one vibrant piece and pairing it with black or white.

Like this room….the walls are intense, but all the black and white accents help to ground it and make it less ‘In yo face!’

(do you see that zebra mirror?!) sorry, no photo credit???

One of my favorite bloggers posted this beautiful dining room in the same combo:

I’m not insinuating that green is a big leap in to the color world, but some people are just more comfortable in neutrals. But pairing a vibrant color with black or white, is the equivalent of following up a nasty comment with ‘Bless her heart!’ It lessens the blow.
My first inclination with this green skirt is to pair it with another color on the wheel, but sometimes I need to exercise restraint too. And nothing is really more chic and classic than white or black.

You like it…or Bless my heart?

  8. I grew up in Norman, Ok where there was a Harold's and a Harold's outlet. So you definitely caught my attention when you said Harolds. Too bad they are no longer. 🙁 I loved getting jewelry from there!

Love the bold green with a crisp white shirt!
