{Guest Post} Kristin at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia

bob series

Today’s special Christmas Eve Best of the Best Blogger is none other than Kristin, from My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia. I’m assuming from her blog name that she lives (like me) in the suburbs…but her house looks completely custom and straight out of a magazine! She has designed and created some of the most peaceful and serene rooms on the blogs. Not to mention, her boys are freaking cute!!

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays! It’s such a special time to create memories with family and friends. It’s a time to reflect and cherish all of our blessings in life. Every year we kick off the holiday season in our home by decorating the house with the kids.

(This years mantel)

We always go and pick out our tree together and pick up a pizza on the way home. We eat, decorate, drink hot chocolate and listen to Christmas songs. The kids love it and I love just seeing the excitement in their eyes. After a few hours the kids are usually off doing something else and I finish it up. I really don’t mind, it’s about creating memories for them.

2010 was my first year of blogging and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it, I have met the nicest people. I most enjoyed working on our Master bedroom for my husband and I. It’s nice to rest our heads at the end of a stressful day in a peaceful bedroom.

The boys bathroom transformation was a big hit with my readers.  I think many of us like to see a kids bathroom done in something other than ducks and pastels.  (That is what we used to have!)

Thank you so much Cassie for having me! I’ve had so much fun getting to know you over the past few months! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays friends!  Kristin
Thank you so much Kristin! You must go check out her house and the gorgeous Christmas decor. Can’t wait to see what she has in store for 2011. We’ll continue this series next week with a whole slew of great bloggers and their projects!
