Hey Hey, friends! How was your weekend? I got the news of another two weeks in the cast, so it was back to the couch for me. I’m trying to stay positive, but I’ll admit, I’m ready to be on two feet again! Preferably, two bootied-feet… because hello, fall!
Even though Dallas is back in the 90s, the calendar says we’ve hit the official first day of Autumn, and I’m ready for changing leaves, pumpkins on my porch, and every single cliched thing Fall has to offer!
Between the cozy fabrics, textured layers, and warm tones, Fall is always a favorite time for fashion, and today I’m sharing five fall trends I’m excited to wear. It wasn’t easy to narrow down the options… because let’s face it, Fall is a bounty of cute clothes! #punny
1. Jewel Tones //
I love bold and bright colors any time of year, but there’s something about the warm, vibrant jewel tones of fall that make my heart soar! Not to mention, deep hues of emerald green, moody plum, and bold blues are so flattering on most every skin tone.
I was immediately drawn to the colors of this Farm Rio dress, but the fit and details made it a keeper! It’s a soft, silky material with good structure. (You know how some satins show all the bumps… this one isn’t like that!)
It’s slightly fitted through the waist with a flared skirt for a flattering hourglass shape, and with fun balloon sleeves.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size Small dress.

All the details make it a special, unique dress, perfect for a range of occasions in the coming months, and the incredible quality means you’ll keep it for years.

2. Cozy Crewneck Sweaters //
Sweater + jeans is the official fall uniform, and the cozier the sweater the better! Life is too short for scratchy sweaters, and I love a good stretchy, soft boucle pullover. Pair them with denim, silky midi skirts, or even your favorite lounge pants, you’ll be as comfy as you are cute.
This crewneck comes in a range of colors, with a relaxed fit and drop shoulder.
Fit Tip: It’s a relaxed fit, I’m in a size XS.

3. Fancy Sneakers //
Okay okay, I know these sneakers are a splurge and a half, but considering sneakers are all I’ll be wearing for the foreseeable future, the fancier the better! These are actually super comfy and lightweight, with a slight built-in wedge… and go with literally everything!!
Dresses, skirts, jeans, lounge pants… I’ve worn them with it all! And they have a way of adding an extra layer of effortless style. I’ve resisted them for years, and frankly, never really liked the distressed style… until I found these all-leather with no distressing! Consider me completely smitten. (Get a great look-for-less with these and thes, both on sale.)
Fit Tip: I sized down half.
4. Slouchy Cardigans //
There’s something so effortless yet a little feminine and sexy about a slouchy, v-neck cardigan… and I’m loving them for fall! Wear them open over a tank or tee, dress them up with your favorite blouse, or wear them alone with just a few buttons closed, it’s a new look every time!
This under $60 cardigan comes in a range of great fall colors, but I love this bright lilac for fall… such a flattering hue!
Fit Tip: It’s oversized, I’m in an XS.

I haven’t stopped wearing these cropped jeans since getting them… and not just because they fit over my cast, ha! They’re so comfy with an easy fit. I love the straight leg with slight flare at the hem, plus the high-rise is flattering and elongating.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing a size 2 jean.

5. Chic Lounge Sets //
Lounge sets have come a long way since 2020, and are now not only super comfortable, but incredibly chic! Oprah named this one of her Favorite Things last year, and with good reason. The material is pure luxury, and the pieces are sold separately, allowing you to mix-and-match colors and sizes.
Wear them together, or as separates, and pair with your favorite loafers or sneakers for an easy, pulled-together style for everything from the airport to volleyball games. Instead of jeans or leggings, I’ll be reaching for this softer-than-soft set all season long. My mom-uniform just got a major upgrade!
Fit Tip: I’m in an XS top and Small-Petite pants.

$625 for a pair of sneakers? I do not get the appeal. I could buy a wonderful coat and a whole lot more for that price.
Some things are indeed a special splurge. This is not one of them.
But this is just one opinion. No doubt others are big fans.
I totally get it, Patricia!!! They’re not for everyone… to each their own! xo, C
OMGosh, I LOVE, I WANT those GGDB!
