{Field Trip} Pottery Barn Outlet

Last week I talked about eating being one of the joys of traveling (see our Nashville restaurant faves here). Another would definitely be finding stores not in your hometown. There are only a small handful of Pottery Barn Outlet stores, so when we came across one in Memphis, I had to stop. Judging from the reaction I got on InstaGram, most of you would, too!

Pottery Barn‘s Outlet stores feature mostly current and last-season’s catalog items, but priced up to 40% off. It is not a line made exclusively for the outlet stores. The inventory is a combination of new items, online returns (up to 60% off, and sold as-is), and those items that are in jeopardy of selling-out online. True you don’t have drool-worthy displays like the traditional stores, but you can walk out with some good deals.

Let’s take a stroll through the store, shall we? I’ll let the pictures do the talking…

I used these exact glasses in my Pottery Barn Challenge last month.

The day-to-day decor is a nice price break, but the bigger pieces is where you’ll save some real money. I’m not in the market for any furniture or rugs so I didn’t look too closely. Actually, truth is I had no way of getting it home, so I didn’t want to fall in love with anything.

I thought about updating our bath towels, but don’t know much about these. Sometimes the really heavy, fluffy ones don’t dry completely between uses…and who wants a damp towel?! Do you use PB towels?

There’s a million captions for this photo, but my son’s face says it all. They weren’t as amused by the field trip.

There’s a separate room for PB Kids and Baby. This would definitely be the jackpot if you’re working on a nursery. Have you seen the prices for crib bumpers these days?!

Granted I was short on time, but my grand purchase was a $4 bag of sea glass! I was overwhelmed, and didn’t want to buy things just because I was there. You know that feeling? Are you an outlet shopper? What’s your favorite outlet store? Have you been to a PB Outlet? You can find the complete list of Pottery Barn outlet stores here.
