Sugarplum Style, Vol. 12

Sweet mother of pearl…tomorrow is tax day! I’m drowning in paperwork, and I’m about ready to shove the pencil in my eye! I’m a colors and patterns girl…numbers are not my forte. #sendhelp #andwine #andanextension 

But enough about that nonsense, let’s talk about fun stuff…like clothes, and new outfit combinations…with the next round of Sugarplum Style!

This was year two wearing my camo pants, and I’m still riding that train. Bets are I’ll be riding it next year, too. On a side note, this is also year two of my boss making ‘I can’t see you!’ jokes every time I wear them. Every time.

We still had cool temps a month ago, so I eased in to Spring with tees, scarves, light jackets, and booties. But as it warmed up, you can see I took my own How to Transition to Spring advice. 

Every time I saw someone in a jean vest last year, I thought they looked too cute for words…so when I spotted this one this year, I decided to try it for myself. Now I’m wondering what took me so long?! I mean, clearly I’m obsessed with the vest’s older sister, the jean jacket, so of course I’d love this, too. 

Little tip: I think it looks best layered over short-sleeve tees or tanks. And popping the collar gives it some sass. 

I wore my jean jacket slightly buttoned this day, to make it more of a top, than a layer.

Everything looks better with white jeans, don’t you think? I love how classic this outfit looked with the block-heel sandals. I roughed it up a bit with the field jacket and spike bracelet.

Maxi skirts have been my staple lately…the weight is perfect for this time of year, but they still keep you covered. PS…my fringe bag is back in stock.

I threw a Garden Party…for one. I don’t love anything more than gingham with floral. Except maybe stripes with floral. Or chips and salsa.

Putting the Power of One theory to good use by pairing a fun necklace with a basic outfit.

More Spring inspiration here…this top and these shoes will make frequent appearances this season!

Mr. SP and I are planning our next trip, and it presents opportunities to wear dressier-than-usual outfits…so I’m taking full advantage and having fun with it. First option is this vibrant maxi dress…I asked you all on InstaGram and Facebook if I was wearing the dress, or if it was wearing me. I love having a whole community of online girlfriends to ask these tough questions! Did you weigh in?
