Hey party people!! I’m so excited to get this Holiday Season started, and kick-off our Christmas Cheer Link Party! I’ve still got glitter in my hair, so that’s a good sign of all of the holiday craft projects coming your way this month….starting today with the blingiest craft of them all….a Glittery Snowflake Wreath.
I found myself with an overload of glittered snowflakes from last year’s after-Christmas sales (they are too hard to resist at 75% off!), so I decided to create a wreath. I’m no stranger to the Christmas wreath, as noted by my wreaths made of magnolia, cranberries, boxwood, rosemary, cinnamon pine cones and stick-on bows!
All you need are for this one are snowflakes, wreath form (I found this flat one at Michael’s for $2), and glue gun. If you want to get extra blingy, grab some little mirrors, too.
I went ahead and sprayed my wreath form silver, in case it showed through, and so it would look nicer on the backside (it’s hanging in a window). Measure the ribbon needed to hang, and glue it flat on the back. With the rough edges of this wreath, it’s better to have part of the ribbon attached to the form.
Then play with your arrangement, until you get the look you want. Glitter will be everywhere. My first layer is large, silver snowflakes, glued towards the outside edge of the form. I wanted it as large as possible. TWSS
Next, I did a layer of hot pink, followed by purple.
And then to tone it down a bit, I did a final layer of silver snowflakes.
And because I had them leftover from these ornaments, I glued small mirrors to all the visible snowflake centers. They reflect circles of light all over the room during the day…it’s like Studio 54 in my house!
I had to tie the bow 87 times to get it right, but now she’s a blingy, glittery, shiny beauty!
I hung her from a Command hook (what else?!) on the Living Room back door. She coordinates beautifully with this year’s color theme….jewel tones! (Last year was pink.)
Now it’s your turn to show us all your crafty goodness! Link up below, as many projects as you like, as long as they’re Holiday related! And if you’re feeling extra sweet, throw our magic button in your post so your readers can see all the great ideas, too. Rumor has it the button negates all your holiday calories!

I love your wreath especially because it has that pink touch. 🙂
What's weird for me is that I really, really like snowflakes but for whatever reason I never craf with them. Maybe I'll start now. 🙂

Beautiful! I love this wreath, and the colors look great against your door.
You are right, that 75% off sale is the best! That's when I get all of my gift wrap, bows, boxes, etc. for the following year.
So fun and sparkly– the colors are great. Perfect for your house! Can't wait to check some of these links out!
I love this! What a great idea!

My computer is so funky, I can't see the link ups! 🙁 I love your wreath, though – adorable!! Hoping to snag some of those on clearance this year and make a wreath for next year's season!!
That is soooo pretty!
My goal someday is to have Christmas all over my house. I cannot help it I am Christmas CA-RAZY! Anyway, to help with this goal, I HAVE to make this wreath for my daughter's bedroom door. It is so sparkly and beautiful. She will love it!
Love this wreath, it is seriously adorable! I'll be linking up my craft tomorrow! 🙂
I have a ton of clearance glitter items too! I don't know what to do with it all considering my husband HATES glitter and it's not allowed in the house!
Thank you for hosting, Cassie! We love your wreath – especially since it's pink!

I love your wreath. I have a bunch of those snowflakes, I stick them in garland on on the tree. A wreath is a great idea 🙂
Cassie, your wreath is amazing! I love it! Thank you so much for hosting!
Thanks for sharing this idea. I bought snowflake ornaments like this from Walmart last year. Now I wish I had bought 3 colors instead of 2.
Thanks so much for hosting the party! If I could have brought a gift to give to the hostess, I would have done! Such a pleasure to link up with some amazingly creative minds. Especially for my first ever link up! Loving your wreath and the unconventional Christmas colours, have a space in my house just begging for something similar!
LOVE THIS!! So fun and festive! I definitely want to make one!
I just linked up my diy wooden angel wings. Love your sparkly, fun wreath and the colors. But honestly I was distracted by your awesome sofa table and that great painting.
Thank you!!
I loved this post so much that I included it my biweekly series, Lots of Link Love! I hope you'll come take a look, find some other fabulous posts from fabulous bloggers, and share with your readers!
