hi Sugarplum!

Black Jeans | Blush & Burgundy

November 14, 2017

Hello, hello! We’re back for day 2 of this week’s new Five Ways series…all about black jeans! Yesterday I shared a casual look perfect for weekend, and today we’re dressing them up for work.

With the right shoes and accessories, you can style black jeans just as you would slacks or a skirt.

Remember this jacket from the Anniversary Sale? It was one of my favorite finds! I love the soft blush and feminine details. Mine sold out with the sale, but this one has similar ruffle trim, and this one a tie-front style.

Paired with patent pumps (these have been my go-tos for years!) and a structured bag, the outfit is office ready. Of course I had to add a little fun with the tassel earring, but you could pare back if your work environment is more conservative. #boo

The mid-rise and extra-dark rinse make these jeans easily dressed up or down, plus they have the right amount of stretch to be both comfy, and keep their shape all day.

Fit Tip: They’re true to size, I’m wearing a 26.

Clearly I can’t get enough of the blush and burgundy combo this season, and there’s no sign of my infatuation waning! Especially now that I’ve added these earrings and this necklace to my wardrobe. Speaking of, all my favorite statement earrings are 20-25% off right now! They’re the easiest way to transform a basic outfit.

Cute outfit! The tie front from Nordstrom seems to be sold out in blush. So sad😢 And, the other is too cutesy for anyone but a twenty year old and that, I am not. I’ll keep searching for a blush jacket so I can copy this classy but fun look.

I love all your outfits but it seems that the clothes are sold out all the time.

Thanks Nikki! I know it can be frustrating to see something you want is sold out, but I also repurpose my clothes and can’t always feature brand-new, in-stock items. I do try to find similar things when that’s the case! xo
