Happy Thursday, friends! We had a great day celebrating Little Miss yesterday… I’m still in shock my baby is 15! It was a bittersweet day, as well… my daughter and dad share a birthday. So while I was rejoicing in her, there was sadness in missing him.
I also received the first vaccine, which was unexpectedly an incredibly emotional experience for me!! As soon as I sat down in the chair, a flood of gratitude, grief, and hope washed over me, and tears ran down my face. The nurse patted my leg and said, ‘I know, sweetie, we all feel the same way.’
I shared a little of it over my Instagram, and so many of you said you had similar experiences. I think as women, we felt the sadness and loss of last year really deeply, and that worry is deep-rooted. The vaccine feels like a way out of it.
In other fun news, Nordstrom recently announced their big annual Spring Sale, with up to 50% off great finds from every category (Beauty & Home included)! Much of it is from Fall and Winter, but I’m over sweaters and ready to move forward! So I scoured every section looking for the best deals, and here are my picks for Spring… all on sale!

four. Smart Diffuser Set // This diffuser can be controlled from an app on your phone, how cool! AND the best part is that this set comes with two Volcano Capri Blue scents! I couldn’t order it fast enough!
five. Kiehl’s Ultimate Hand Salve // This is the only cream I’ve found that truly heals your cracked, dry hands. It rubs in easily and absorbs quickly, without leaving a greasy residue. It’s pretty much a non-negotiable with the constant hand-washing from the past year!
six. Kendra Scott Star Necklace // Y’all know I love a good dainty necklace, and Kendra Scott has some of the best! This one is darling and would make a fantastic gift for all the upcoming events… Mother’s Day, graduations, etc.!
seven. Off-Shoulder Cocktail Dress // The perfect LBD for basically any occasion! Grab this at a discount for all your upcoming (delayed!) events! It does run large, so definitely size down.
eight. Card Holder Wallet // For those times you need a slim wallet to throw in your crossbody or clutch! And of course, I love the leopard!
nine. Adidas Logo Hat // I’ve been wearing this exact hat for years and years! It shows up in every haul, because I’m constantly grabbing it, especially to cover Day 3 hair!
ten. Flip Flops // These sandals come in two gorgeous neutral colors! Throw them on with any outfit, from sundresses to jean shorts.
eleven. Cheese Board Set // Not only is this the perfect mini-charcuterie set-up, it has pretty gold utensils! I grabbed it over the holidays, and I use it all the time.

I work for a health care system, though I am not a caregiver. I have volunteered to work many staff and patient vaccine clinics, as a “runner”. So MANY employees want to sign up to work the clinics, I haven’t found an opening in a while! It is EXCITING!

Happy (belated) birthday to your young lady! My nephew was also born 3/31 – he turned 20. My sister was adamant that no child of hers was going to be born on 4/1 (April Fools Day) – like she had much say in it… lol. My vaccine appt is end of April, unless I can finagle something sooner – it depends how far away I want to drive to get an earlier appt.

Do the packing cubes make your clothes very wrinkled?
No ma’am!! I fold them carefully to fit the dimensions of the bag, then they don’t slide around and barely wrinkle! You could also roll them in the bags if you prefer that method. The bags keep your clothes compact in your suitcase!
