I loved every second of 2015 (okay, there were a few rough patches, so most every second), and one of the biggest reasons was because of all the travel opportunities. Between my sister’s wedding, vacations, blog conferences, and the Redbook cover, I packed my bags 12 times last year! (See my packing tips here.)
My grandparents used to pack up several times a year, and travel to amazing places for weeks at a time, so I learned early-on that the world is as accessible as you’re willing to be. One of the reasons Mr. SP and I work so hard is for the chance to travel together. Even in those early years, when we lived on peanuts, we still found ways to explore. (I honed my budget-travel skills then!)
These were the most popular {Trip Reports} of last year, and hopefully a good resource for those of you thinking of packing your bags somewhere fun in 2016!
Sharing our travel trials and errors, and tips with you has become one of the most gratifying of this blog. I love hearing how these {Trip Reports} helped with planning your own travels, and hope to continue making them a resource for you. I know how hard it is to save and get away, so I work very hard to make them honest, authentic, and helpful, using only my own experiences.
Do you have travel plans for this year? We don’t have anything booked yet, and I’m already starting to get antsy! Tomorrow wraps up my look back at 2015, and it’s a personal one.
Oh Cassie…your travels make me happy.
yah! so many great trips! xo jillian – cornflake dreams
Can I ask what font you use for the Alaska words on those pics? Absolutely love it and the posts!
Never mind, figured it out from stalking some old posts. You said you use it on PicMonkey, so I did a little searching. If anyone else came to ask the same thing, it's called Channel and it's free on DaFont 😉
Nice sleuthing!!! I love that font!
Alaska looks so beautiful and I loved seeing those pictures! It's a great reminder to me of what North America has to offer.
I love reading your travel posts, so keep them coming. But I have to admit, it makes me wonder how the heck you find so much time to travel (for pleasure and for blogging types of trips. How do you find time to travel so often when you work a full time job? That's not a criticism, btw, I just don't know how you do it all! You are a lucky lady!
Yes ma'am…very lucky! I've recently changed jobs, but I'd been at my old one for over 10 years, so I'd built up quite a bit of time off! I think I had over 5 weeks/year by the last few years! Many of my trips are long weekends, so only a day or two off work, but I had a lot to cover it. Mr. SP, not so much…hence why he can't go with me on all of them 🙁 happy weekend!
Love reading about your travels! Your pictures are the best! Did you ever do a post on Yellowstone? I couldn't find it but would love to know your tips. 😀
Thanks Emily! No, I totally forgot about the Yellowstone post! We only spent a day there, so I don't have a lot to offer, but thanks for the reminder to get it scheduled!! xo
