Amazon Fashion Finds | June

Happy Friday from Los Angeles, friends!! Yep, you read that right…I’m on the move again. Good thing I didn’t unpack! I’m here for design meetings for our next Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Collection!! It’s a dream working with this incredibly talented team, and I can’t wait to share what we’re working on next. Any guesses or requests?

No question it’s been a crazy month, between the Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Summer of Color launch, our son’s graduation, and traveling, but you know I’m not about to miss your favorite monthly series, Amazon Fashion Finds! I actually had more time to really dig in and search for the best this month, and came home to a mountain of Prime deliveries…and it’s goooood!

But before we dig in, I want to wish my darling Mama Sugarplum a happy, happy birthday!! You’re always such a light in my life, and I’m grateful for you every day. I love you, Mom!

Okay, let’s get to it!

Sizing info: I’m 5’4″ 120-ish pounds, and usually wear an XS/0 and 26 jeans. My fit tips and size recommendations are included with each description. And remember, not shopping in the Amazon app helps me see what items you like most, and ensures I receive proper credit.

Let’s start with tops and tees…always fun and easy closet editions this time of year. This darling gigham top was actually recommended by one of you, and I have to agree it’s an amazing find! It’s a light, crisp material with the cutest collar and ruffle trim on the sleeve. It has a slight bell shape that’s tummy-forgiving, but can also be worn tucked.

Also worth noting, my go-to white jeans are 40% off!! This is the first time I’ve never seen them on sale, so I expect they’ll go fast. I love the stretchy fit, but the material thick enough to smooth! Plus, the pockets don’t show through and they’re a great ankle length.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a Small top and size 2 jeans.

Gingham Top with Ruffle Sleeve | Statement Earring | White Jeans (40% off!!) | Sandals in ‘Makeup’ | Cuff Bracelet

This unassuming tee totally surprised me…super soft cotton with a light, swingy shape. It comes in several colors, and none I tried are sheer at all (including the white!). It’s a slightly longer length that falls to the hip and covers the bum.

And the cuff? Such a fun style for both casual and dressy, and a fraction of the cost of most styles like this!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small, but would prefer an XS…so true to size.

Tiered Tee | White Jeans (40% off!!) | Sandals in ‘Makeup’ | Cuff Bracelet

This babydoll top isn’t going to win any quality awards, but it’s a cute find for a season or two. A silky material, it has a faux-tie in the front and a swing shape. I love the colors and pattern!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, so size up one.

Floral Babydoll Top | White Jeans (40% off!!) | Sandals in ‘Makeup’ | Cuff Bracelet

Graphic tees are one of my new favorite things to search on Amazon, there are so many darling options! The cotton is incredible on this tank…nice and soft and super thick/stretchy, and the Happy Camper a cute graphic.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small for an oversized fit, but stick with your usual size for a standard fit. The shorts are a 2.

‘Happy Camper’ Tank | Long Inseam Distressed Shorts | Sneakers

This ‘Faith’ tee is really cute, too…the cotton is really lightweight with a touch of stretch.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small

‘Faith’ Tee | White Jeans (40% off!!) | Sandals in ‘Makeup’

This ‘Good Vibes’ tee has been a reader-fave for the last two months, so I had to try new colors for you…and this blue is a definite winner! The cotton on this tee is premium, and soft enough to sleep in!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small

‘Good Vibes’ Tee | Long Inseam Distressed Shorts | Sneakers

Moving on to rompers, one of your favorite categories!! I love a solid jersey knit for running around, and it doesn’t get much better in quality than this one. A bra-friendly short sleeve with v-neck, the elastic waist is comfortable and stretchy, with an operational drawstring. It even has pockets and a mom-friendly inseam. Perfect with sneakers or sandals, and super cute with jean jackets.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS

Striped Jersey Romper | Sandals

Similar romper, but in a tank style…stick bra-friendly though!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS

Tank Style Jersey Romper | Sandals

The jersey of this drop sleeve romper is a little thinner, but still totally solid and so soft. This one runs a little bigger, with a slightly longer inseam, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS, but would recommend sizing down one.

Short Sleeve Jersey Romper | Sandals

Now for my favorite category…dresses! And this dress is hands-down one of my favorite Amazon finds to date!! That’s pretty high praise considering the amazing finds over the last year, too! It’s a flattering fit-and-flare with halter neckline (exposed shoulders looks good on everyone!!), and easily passes for a high-end department store dress. The quality is incredible! And it’s $30!?! What?! How?! It comes in two colors, but I’d buy it in 10 if they had them!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, which is a tad big, but I’d size up one if in-between.

Lace Overlay Fit-and-Flare Dress | Heeled Sandals | Cuff Bracelet

My next favorite find of the month…this color block maxi dress. So chic and flowy and comfy, and just perfect!! I do wish it came in XS because I’d prefer my usual size, but not enough to make me return it! It comes in 3 color variations and is under $30!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small

Color Block High-Low Maxi Dress | Sandals in ‘Makeup’ | Cuff Bracelet

Pajamas or maxi dress…hard to know because it’s that comfy!! This longline knit maxi is so easy to wear, with a great mid-weight jersey and ample stretch. It doesn’t hug or pull, and has a fun, sporty shape on top. Add a tassel necklace and jean jacket for extra style!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS, but would size down one. It’s a great length for taller girls, too.

Jersey Knit Maxi Dress | Sandals

Another stunning dress at an unbelievable price…this tiered chiffon is so fun! It’s a little hard to see the details in my pic, but it’s the kind of dress that instantly makes you feel amazing, and so chic! It’s perfect for any nighttime event…just add statement earrings and a clutch. So fun with a bright shoe, too!

It’s quickly making the internet rounds and has crazy-good reviews (so expect a sell-out)! Available in black and 6 others colors.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, would recommend sizing up one.

Off-the-Shoulder Tiered Dress | Heeled Sandals | Cuff Bracelet

They don’t come much cuter and easier than this dress. The top is a soft, stretchy knit, with an a-line skirt in a crisp, lightweight material. Basic, yet so flattering and easy to wear. I love the modest, yet flattering fit…and it even has pockets! So many patterns and colors to choose from, and easily dressed up for the office, or keep it casual for summer.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, but would prefer my usual XS, so it’s true to size.

Fit-and-Flare Tank Dress | Sandals | Cuff Bracelet

The fit and style of this dress is cute, but the material is just so-so. You could easily dress it up with heels and statement jewels, and no one would know the difference! It’s fully-lined and has an easy, forgiving fit. These oversized pearl clips are everywhere right now, and these are amazing for the price!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, but would prefer my usual XS.

Off-the-Shoulder Chiffon Dress | Large Pearl Clip | Cuff Bracelet | Sandals

This dress is seriously cute and sassy, and would be stunning for evening events. The fit was a little off for me, but the quality is on-point! The top is a medium weight lace with a touch of stretch and cami-liner in front. The bottom a fuller, thick satin. So classic and chic from the front, with a peek of sass in the back!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, but need my usual XS, so it’s true to size.

Lace Fit-and-Flare Open Back Dress | Heeled Sandals | Cuff Bracelet

A more casual option, perfect for Summer vacation, this eyelet maxi is equal parts cute and sexy. The v-neck is a little low, but fully-lined with a sturdy cotton for support. The straps are adjustable, too, for a more custom fit on top. I love the scallop hem with just a touch of flounce.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, so would recommend sizing up one.

Eyelet Maxi Sundress | Sandals | Cuff Bracelet

I don’t love the material of this dress…a silky poly-blend…but the fit and patterns are darling. And the price can’t be beat. It’s a great dress for work, church and more.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small, so size up one.

Floral Fit-and-Flare Dress | Sandals

Okay, let’s move on to swim…I found a few good options for you this month. (See my top 10 swim picks of all time here.)

You may recognize the style of the two-piece…it’s the popular pom pom suit I shared upside down a few months ago, ha! I loved the style so much, I had to order the black. The high-waist covers and holds in the tummy, while providing full support across the back. The top is a true bikini style, but fits larger chests, too.

The color block one-piece is actually an Old Navy find (yep, Old Navy!), but too cute to hold for the next Dressing Room Diaries! It’s a really thick lycra material, fully-lined and even has a built-in shelf bra! The shoulder tie is fixed, but could be cut off for a more streamline style.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small in both, so size up one.

Pom-Pom Two Piece Swim | Colorblock One-Shoulder Swim

This color block one-piece is a very similar look, but a stretchier, ribbed-type material. It comes with built-in, padded cups for more shape and support.

The striped one-piece is a standard lycra swim material, with deep v-neck, but a modest leg. It has a cute criss-cross back with adjustable tie for a more custom fit. It’s a great option for long torsos!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing Small in both, but the striped is a little too long.

Colorblock One Shoulder Swim | Striped One Piece Swim

I saw so many European women in Greece wearing long caftans as cover-ups, and it was insanely chic!! This one is a lightweight, silky-type material with good movement. It has an adjustable drawstring and deep v-neck and a long side slit. It comes in over 40 prints and colors, so good luck choosing just one!

Fit Tip: It’s one size, and a touch big on me, but still wearable!

Striped Maxi Cover-Up | Stud Flip Flops

Did you notice the flip flops? A snazzier version of last month’s find…these with trendy rock studs! This style is also softer and bendier, and more comfortable across the foot. Definitely elevates your pool style!

Fit Tip: True to size

Stud Flip Flops

SURPRISE! Little Miss is joining us today to share some of her fave finds for girls!! We shopped online together, and she chose her top picks. This embroidered dress is adorable and easily looks like Mini Boden. The style was a little too young and sweet for her (she’s 13), but we both agreed it was adorable for younger girls. Also makes a fun coverup, and comes in tons of patterns and styles!

Fit Tip: This is a 9/10, but she’s typically a 10/12, so it’s true to size.

Embroidered Dress

Another comfy option, this dress is a thick jersey knit that’s super soft. It comes in several colors and stripes.

Fit Tip: She’s wearing a large, but needs an XL…so true to size.

Striped Jersey Knit Dress

And finally, we hit the jackpot with this tank and shorts! The tanks are a soft, stretchy cotton and come in a 3-pack for only $13! They’re from Amazon Essentials, so they’re excellent quality and launder well. The shorts are a thick cotton, pull on style with pockets…and so adorable!

Fit Tip: Both tanks and shorts are true to size.

Tank Top (set of 3) | Striped Cotton Shorts

So many fun finds this month, right? As for the most popular from our Amazon Fashion Finds of May, here are your Top 5:

Cozy Jumpsuit / Meet your new travel outfit!
Jersey Knit Maxi Dress / Super soft & amazing quality
Aztec Maxi Dress / So much style for under $20!
Beaded Statement Earrings / Tons of colors & only $15!
Good Vibes Tank / Cute, comfy & super well-made!

As for my random non-fashion buys, our Keurig just died (same week as the dishwasher…when it rains it pours, right?!), so I’ve got this fancy-dancy one on the way. I’m pretty psyched about the cappuccino and frothing option. Little Miss insisted we needed to try this new hairdryer/brush thingie, so it’s on the way, too.

I always like seeing the Amazon fashions. It’s hard to know what to order, so I don’t normally purchase unless they are blogger recommended. Here’s a cute striped tee I ordered earlier this summer that was recommended on another site. The material is good quality and you can’t beat the price and color selection: https://amzn.to/2FBnRS7
I look forward to finding out how the hairdryer/brush works.

Oh yes! I have that tee!! It was in one of my mosts several months ago…thrilled you like it!! And the brush came in right before I left, so I haven’t used it yet, but I was surprised by how big it is!!

That dryer brush is awesome, and makes your hair SUPER straight. No need to do any drying before had as it really does fully dry your hair. Not sure your little will be able to handle by herself as it is really heavy and gets very hot!

I am so excited you included your daughter in this post!! I love her style. Would you be willing to share how tall she is? My two daughters are super tall and lanky so sizing is always a bear. Thanks.

Yay, I’m glad to hear it!! She’s just about 5′ and all leg! Her frame is very petite, so even though she’s 13, she often wears a 10/12. Tricky to give size recommendations for kids since age isn’t always a good indicator of size! I hope you like her finds!

Love these posts! I am torn. The prices are sometimes so good but the durability can leave much to be desired- and my bar is like target/old navy level at that price… obviously not Nordstrom quality. I bought the knit romper from the last amazon find that you said you’d live in… I wore it once and by the end Of the super chill day it had giant pill balls all over it (not just thighs but the lower legs where I know nothing was rubbing against it) and looked really worn and bad. It was dreamy comfy that day but it truly was the definition of throw away fashion. Which- I think isn’t that great.
Just for what it’s worth. I’d hope an item would at least make it to the first wash before falling apart 😂😂

I hear you!! That’s why I try to indicate in my description if the quality isn’t great right out of the gate. Sometimes the prices are low enough to justify just a few wears. But obviously I can’t speak to the long-term wearability of something since I’m just trying for the first time. That’s a bummer about that romper. I can say, the Amazon Essentials brand of items has proven to withstand wear and washes really well for me!

Thanks for your helpful comments on the clothes. I also don’t like throw away clothing and am trying to buy less but better. I have limited closet space so everything has to earn its hanger.
Looking forward to your Nordstrom sale post. I’m hoping your next collaboration with Gibson will be holiday… but that said, I also love fall clothes.
