Adorable Summer Finds Under $50

Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to a new week! We’re in Naxos today, the most quintessentially Greek island I can imagine, and we’re loving every second of it! The food is next level, the people so nice, and there is barely a tourist in sight! We spent yesterday exploring quant villages, and today is all about the beaches. I’ll be sure to report back!

Now let’s get to today’s blog fun! I kicked off the season’s Summer of Style series last week with a gorgeous floral maxi from a surprising source…Walmart.

Actually, darling Walmart finds are becoming a regular thing around here! I’ve yet to come away from a shopping trip empty-handed, and can never believe the price compared to the quality and style. (I do prefer shopping online at Walmart, and for easier returns, always make sure the things I order are listed as ‘sold and shipped by walmart.com’.)

I found so many amazing styles on my last trip, I had to share them in a follow-up post (see the gorgeous dress that started this 2-for-1 here)! The title says under $50, but most are actually under $10 and $30!!

I’m often asked for white tee recommendations, and I have a few I like, but can honestly say this v-neck is at the top of my short list. It’s a thick, sturdy cotton that’s still soft and stretchy, with the right amount of dip in the V, and a pocket. It fits well through the body, and has a little extra length on it, too.

The shorts are a linen blend, and easy pull-on style. The wide elastic waist sits comfortably at the waist, and the drawstring is functional. I love the mid-length inseam, too. This is essentially my summer mom uniform!

We’ll get to the bag in a minute, but be prepared to be blown away!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small in the tee and XS shorts. Both come in a slew of colors, and are under $10 each!

This chambray off-the-shoulder top could easily come from a popular preppy retailer for three times the price, but instead it’s knock-your-socks off quality for under $20! A true chambray with a stretchy elastic band that keeps the top firmly in place on the shoulder. It’s hip length, so great for wearing out or a little tuck.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but I’d size down if in between.

Another off-the-shoulder, but this one in a lightweight gauzy material that’s so soft and breezy. I love the black palm print, but it comes in a more colorful option, too. And still…under $20!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Hello darling little bib top! I love the ruffle trim of this woven top, and it’s fully-lined! It’s a touch short on me, but I’d love it tucked into skirts. It easily dresses up or down.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would recommend going up one if your busty.

Okay, clearly I was having an off-the-shoulder moment, even though I later realized this top isn’t technically off-the-shoulder! #oops But it totally works, so you can wear it on the shoulders or off. The material is a little crisp, so it holds its structure well. The print is darling, right?! It comes in two others, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS, but I’d size down one.

Okay, moving on to dresses…I found two adorable options, starting with this flowy maxi! It’s a woven knit that has a great weight to it…sturdy, yet the skirt flows freely. The tank-style is completely bra-friendly.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS, but would recommend sizing down.

This a-line dress is incredibly flattering and so easy to wear. It’s a sturdy knit blend, that doesn’t hug too close or show bumps. I love the fresh white for summer, but it comes in a slew of other brights, as well.

And you recognize my sandals? The same $8 slides I told you about months ago…still holding strong!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS and it’s true to size.

Now let’s talk about these darling bags!! I honestly had a mini-freakout when they arrived…the quality is on par with styles that start at $150, yet none of these are over $30!!

The striped totes have real leather handles, burlap bases, and sisal weave. They have a structured shape that stays tall when sitting. Oh, and tassels included!!

The woven bag is a shoulder tote that packs completely flat, but expands to hold a ton! I’m so smitten with them all, and can’t recommend them enough!

Here’s each bag on so you can see the scale…and style factor! The blue stripes is the largest of the three, and will make your pool days insanely chic!

And lastly, you know I’m a fan of the H sandals…cute style, comfy padded insole, and under $8…what’s not to love! Well I also found these cross strap vegan slides, and am equally impressed! Same padded footbed, and soft straps, but with a sturdier sole.

Fit Tip: DOUBLE CHECK SIZING

And one more time with the bags…clearly I’m obsessed! I mean, I’m taking glam shots of them in my backyard! #bloggerissues

Okay, that wraps my latest Walmart haul (see the others here and here). Are you surprised by the cute styles, or are you coming to expect them from Walmart? It takes a little digging, but the good stuff is there, my friends! What retailer do you want me to scout next?

Hi Cassie, please let Walmart know that i tried to buy three items, and they were all sold out. I hit the button as soon as i saw your post this morning, which was less than 30 minutes after arriving in my inbox. Too bad, because i wanted the white and lavender tshirt (the white could not be shipped, i had to drive 18 miles to get it), the cross slides, and the navy bag. All gone.

LOVE these outfits and those adorable striped straw bags! I’m 5’9″, do you think the adorable maxi or A-line dress would be too short on us tall gals?

Lastly, this may sound crazy, but I cannot stand Wal-Mart’s website. I think that is why I never look online there as it’s just not very “user friendly.” For instance, when I click on the links you provided, a whole bunch of other items come up first on the page and I have to scroll down to find the item I’m really looking for. Usually, I feel like it’s the other way around (item I’m looking for comes up first and other suggested items second). I work for a company that produces top notch websites so that’s probably why I’m bothered by it but even your blog and MANY other retail sites I visit are easier to find things on than Wal-Mart’s cruddy website.
