{3 Ways} Winter Neutrals

Thanks to Punxsutawney Phil, Winter is still hanging on. Granted, Winter means something a little different to us than many of you, but still cold none the less. It’s near impossible for me to forgo color in my wardrobe, regardless of the season, but there is something so chic about a combination of creamy whites and camel hues. For today’s Fashion Friday, I thought I’d share three ways to wear Winter’s prettiest neutrals.

Hi Sugarplum | 3 Ways to wear Winter Neutrals

You know I’m a fan of wearing white after Labor Day, and one of my favorites is to pair it with warmer shades of ivory and tan. But neutral doesn’t necessarily equal boring…especially when you throw in sexy leopard heels or a fun handbag. The key to keeping it all from blending together is to layer in texture.

This scarf adds warmth, coziness, and fun texture…and on sale for $12! Thank you Nordstrom for your awesome sales! The jeans are the NYDJ I’ve talked about before…I like their higher waistline for dressier outfits.

The second look gets it’s texture from the furry vest and suede boots. Also the fringed bag, which by the way, I’m completely obsessed with already. I carried it all last weekend and got compliments everywhere we went.

The last outfit has one of my favorite looks this season…a popped collar with a chunky necklace. And don’t worry about the different tones of your whites and creams, when layered together it gives the outfit dimension. As long as the fabrics are season-appropiate, you’re a go with the lighter colors.

I ended up swapping bags once I got the outfits on…I preferred the more casual vibe of the fringe bag with this one.

Obligatory Maggie-bomb. She complemented my Winter Neutrals perfectly, don’t you think?!

To avoid being completely washed out, I did amp up the blush and bronzer, and added an extra coat of mascara. Which look is your favorite? Do you lean towards neutrals, or prefer more color? I like a bit more pattern, but apparently all the neutral pieces in my closet are solids! Our favorite cozy wrap in this color way would be a good compromise. Happy weekend, love bugs!

    • Thank you! My leopard heels are actually Jessica Simpson…but they are sold out, so I linked a similar pair. Do you have the Sam Edelman?
