What was your high school jam?
Would you rather have a perfect bum, or a flawless face?
What shows are you ashamed to admit are on your DVR?
What’s your ringtone?
How old were you when you had your first kiss? Was it meh or toe-curling?
Do you have any siblings, and if so, where are you in the birth order?
What physical quirk were you born with?
Two cowlicks right in the front of my hairline. It makes having bangs nearly impossible. Such a bummer.
What was your first car, and did you name it?
1991 Light Blue Ford Escort, with no name. I was so proud to have worked for it and paid for it myself. I still remember the car payment was $231 a month. I’m on my 4th car now.
What would you request for your last supper?
Probably sushi with a really good bottle of wine.
Have you ever been hospitalized, and if so, what for?
I’ve had all kinds of random things- tonsils removed, stitches in my forehead, broken arm, and I was hospitalized when things went a little crazy during my son’s delivery.
How tall are you? Do you wish you were taller, shorter…or are you just right?
5’1- almost. I’m super short, but proportionate, and I’m used to being petite. I wouldn’t mind a few extra inches though.
Do you prefer to DIY or hire it out?
I’ll DIY small projects and crafty things, but anything major I’d definitely hire out.
What do you eat for breakfast?
I never go without breakfast and like to start my morning out healthy, so I almost always eat oatmeal with raisins, almonds, cinnamon and a little 1% milk. To make it faster, I keep all the ingredients combined in a glass jar on my counter and just scoop it out each day. I cook it in the microwave with water for about a minute, then add some milk.
What would you do for a living if you didn’t need money?
I’d love to be a stylist or own a stationary/paperie shop.
Finish this sentence: Every room needs….
A mirror and books.
How frequently do you wash your hair? Do you have any hair secrets or tricks?
Oh gosh, almost everyday. I admire those people who can go days between washes, but that’s not me- my hair gets too greasy and I feel icky. You’ll know if it’s “day two” for me because my hair will be up in a messy bun or pony tail.
Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes, no problem, but I will put on at least mascara so I look alive.
You just unloaded your Halloween haul…what candy do you go for first?
Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. I’m mostly addicted to the ones I make at home though. In fact, I just made some tonight!
What totally inane talent do you possess?
I can pick up things with my toes and do it all the time. It’s almost second nature:)

How completely adorable is she? Seriously, every time I see her I want to put her in my pocket. That sounds weird, right? What else is new. I think I’ll challenge her to a pick-up contest with our toes today…my physical quirk is likely to give me an advantage.

One last thing…my friend Sheaffer is celebrating her 1-year Blogger-versary, and to celebrate she’s giving away a $365 Nordstrom Gift Card!!! Hello…that’s huge! I can’t believe I’m lessening my changes of winning by telling ya’ll, but I’m feeling sweet today. Take advantage. And if you win, I’ll take this and this, please.
Thanks for the birthday love friend!!!
Thanks for featuring Megan today! I started blogging earlier this year and she has become one of my first "bloggy" friends. She's so sweet and supportive. It was fun learning more about her today!
Loving tour blog too! 🙂
Adore you back Susan!
I want to put Megan in my pocket, too! She's sweet as can be & one of my favorites ever.
Loved this!!! That's it, M. We need to hang out. So we can wow people w/ our feet shenanigans & cowlicks.
xoxo
Yes! We definitely need to hang out! I have a feeling we'd be laughing nonstop!
Love her blog! I started reading you both at the same time. I know nothing about interior design or DIY anything. You both make me feel like I could do something if I wanted to.
LOVE this series!!
That is such a sweet compliment Mary! But it's true, if I can do it, so can YOU!
love this q&a!!!!! Great questions!
Lauren
Loved reading this, Meg!!! So fun. I think sushi and wine would be right up there for me as well!
Let's go get some! Not everyone likes it!
Love these interviews!!! Megan is the sweetest and so fun you are all hanging out this week!!
Natasha, wish you could be there too, but you're busy rubbing elbows with LISA!!
This series is so fun. I was shocked to read that Megan has the double-cowlick curse too. Her hair is so cute!
Ug! Thank you but it's a major pain those dang cowlicks!
So glad you featured Megan. I can't believe how much time has gone by since first reading both of your blogs. James was just a BABY!! Hoping this is the year I finally get to meet up with you both in person.
I know Lauren! He's nearly 3 1/2 now! Y'all have seen him grow up!
Love this interview! Love Megan, she's adorable. and I love your guys friendship!
Thank you Andrea! I feel a special connection to you too because our kids are near the same age!
Well, I'd say that we should all wish for 2 cowlicks because her hair looks gorgeous in every picture!!! Have a great beach vacation!
So sweet Amy- I appreciate that!
I am in love with Megan! How cute and fun is she?!?! Can we all three be best friends??? 🙂
Ah! I had no idea! Yes, we are not exclusionary friends! 🙂
it's a great article, i love the pictures. Thanks for sharing this bookmarking your website as we speak lol xx

I love this post! I wish all the blogs I read this, it makes me feel more connected to the author.
I, too, can pick up things with my toes! I've never met anyone who does this. All my friends, family, and especially my husband think it's weird. He says my toes look like fingers because they are so long. He likes to exaggerate! 🙂
Karen
Another person who has my inane talent!! Yay!! 🙂
Oh my gosh…another small person! I'm almost 5'1 too! Haha. I always just say 5'1, as if that makes a huge difference from 5'
Technically speaking, I'm 5 and 3/4, but who's counting! So many other bloggers are TALL. I'm a shorty!
I love these 20 Questions posts. I started reading Megan's blog and your blog around the same time so I feel like I've slowly gotten to know you both. Anyway, Megan is adorable, as are you. I have a crazy cowlick and I would love to have another one if it meant my hair looked as good as Megan's!
PS. I have a lot of commenting to catch up on. Evidently my browser needed updating so I haven't been able to comment on anything 🙁 So just picture a 5'8" blonde girl (who really needs her roots done) hitting herself on the forehead because she kept ignoring the little 1 on the settings app. Please tell me someone else has done that.
Y'all are two teeny friends!
And, just wondering if Robbie Merkle's wife reads your blog. Awkward. Ha!
That is so funny Emily! DYING!! I hope his kissing has improved:)
I love Megan too!
She left the nicest comment on my anniehearts "my story" page and I was all, this girl is a SWEETHEART! Much like you, Cassie! You two are made for each other.
Annie XO
I remember you brave girl! 🙂
