This Really Melts My Butter, V

Happy Saturday, friends! I hope everyone has recovered from their food coma, and are enjoying the weekend. In between hauling out the Christmas decor and browsing for online deals, I’ve racked up quite a few bookmarks of fabulous projects to share! Check them out on your next hot chocolate break.

Everything Kristen F Davis Designs touches is golden, but this 7-foot light fixture she made from paint sticks and veneer made my jaw drop. The girl is seriously talented!

Kristen at My Uncommon Slice of Suburbia was kind enough to round-up the internet’s cutest, and FREE, holiday tag printables!

Two of my favorite bloggie people just had babies…I’ve loved watching their bellies grow, and the nurseries come together. Freckles Chick and I are cut from the same sarcastic cloth, I’m sure of it. Except she knows how to use color in perfect moderation.

As does Christine at Just Bella. These two nurseries are lovely enough to warrant me having another baby. Almost.

Covering corkboards with fabric and nailhead isn’t new…but Michelle Lee Interiors built her own corkboard out of surprising (and cheap!) materials. What a great way to customize the size you need, too!

My Owl Barn is back with their FREE customizable owl calendar for 2012. You choose your favorite owl art from 45 artists, then print the pdf! How do you choose only 12?! I think I need a 27-month calendar.

Courtney at A Thoughtful Place had an empty sliver of wall that was just begging for something amazing. She delivered, by hand-painting the lyrics from her wedding song on it! I think it’s just amazing, and if my penmanship were at all legible, I’d be attempting it, too! (But that might be weird since Mr. Sugarplum and I danced to a song he wrote and recorded! All together now….aaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!)

There is NO WAY I’m letting my son catch a glimpse at the ridiculous room Chris at Just a Girl created for her son. I just know that he’d somehow convince me it was time for another room makeover. So I’ll just quietly drool over her masterpiece by myself.

Kate at Centsational Girl can do no wrong, right? Every project and craft she whips up is genius….and I’m especially smitten with her DIY Faux-Bois Vases! Why does she have to live across the country? It makes stalking her so much harder.

Lastly, one of my sponsors, Fabulous but Frugal, is offering Hi Sugarplum readers 30% off her entire Idari shop (fabulous pillows, people!!) Just use promo code HOLIDAY30 at check-out. She’s also running her famous, ‘Buy 3, Get 1 Free’ & FREE SHIPPING on all pillow covers in her DIY Pillows shop.

Great stuff, right? Happy Saturday!

  1. Great finds. Although it is Thanksgiving in Canada in October and our celebration is very different. Deep down inside I have always, always, wanted to try a US Thanksgiving.

The wooden chandelier is an inspiration. It is also lovely if it is made with bamboo. Excellent idea!
