Happy Monday, friends, and welcome back to a new week! I hope you had a wonderful weekend, and felt loved and spoiled by your people. We had our first full lake weekend where we could be outside and on the water, and I can’t even believe the difference all that fresh air and fun made for everyone!
Virtual school keeps Little Miss tucked away in her room every day, so time away from a screen, plus a whole bunch of sunshine, was just the boost she needed to finish out the school year. I’m sure we’re all counting down the days on this semester!
I’ve been doing my fair share of online browsing lately, and one retailer that’s absolutely nailing the style game is Target! I never have any problem finding darling home decor, but this month the fashion is what had me clicking ‘add to cart’.
I try to limit my Target runs, but only because it gets me into trouble every.single.time. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve managed to spend under $100. It’s almost impossible!! Surely I’m not the only one?!
To protect my pocketbook, I stuck with mostly online for this scouting session. Their website pics don’t do most pieces any justice, so much of my order came as a pleasant surprise, and I think you’ll agree!
Sugarplum Sizing: I’m 5’4″, 125-ish pounds, and my usual size is XS/2 and a 26 jean.
I fell first for the colors and pattern of this dress, then the shape and comfort hooked me. Made of 100% cotton, it has a full swing shape and exaggerated puff sleeves. The neck can be worn open or tied, and there’s even pockets.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would prefer a size down.
Here’s the same dress in a fun lavender and orange color combo… so unexpected, and so darling!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would size down.
This shift dress is gauzy and light, so perfect for steamy days. I love the v-neck and swing shape, plus the pretty shades of pink and purple.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS
And yes ma’am, this clutch is a Target find, too! So incredibly well-made with a wood handle, it’s so darling for all your spring and summer combos. It comes in a few fun colors, plus a great neutral.
Speaking of light, this flutter sleeve top is light as air, but not sheer. I love the feminine details and boxy fit. And one of my most-worn jean shorts are back!
I wore these on repeat last summer, with a high rise, slightly longer inseam, and just enough stretch, you won’t find a better pair for the price.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but it is a tad on the short side (not cropped). I sized up in the shorts for a straighter fit, I’m in a 4.
One of my favorite dresses of the batch, this linen blend shirtdress is quintessentially summer! Fully-lined, it’s soft and comfortable with no sheerness and an easy fit. There’s even pockets!
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, it’s a relaxed fit.
This dress surprised me most, and I had a hard time taking it off!! Incredibly lightweight and soft, it has the perfect flowy fit and feminine print. I especially love it with the sleeves pulled up and a stack of bracelets.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but would size down if in-between.
A sturdy cotton tee in a fun, muscle shape. The shoulders are exaggerated, and the fit a touch cropped… and only $10! I paired it with distressed cut-offs, in a similar fit to my faves above, but in a slightly thinner denim.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS tee and size 4 shorts.
Another fluttery dress in the softest, lightest fabric. The fit is both easy and flattering, with a slight fit-and-flare shape and lots of feminine details.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS
I’m living for this shorts set!! I actually brought it to the lake this weekend and it was the perfect outfit for lounge and play. Made of the softest cotton, it has a touch of texture and a great medium weight. The shorts are a comfy, elastic pull-on, with an oversized matching top.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing XS in both pieces, it’s a generous fit.
The shorts so nice, I bought them thrice! I’ve been looking high and low for a great-fitting, no-see-thru, affordable white cut-off, and Target delivered!! I love how comfortable and stretchy they are, but still in a sturdy denim. The top has a soft t-shirt body and fun, exaggerated poplin sleeves.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS top and size 4 shorts (I sized up one in them because I prefer a more relaxed fit in my cut-offs)
Quite possibly the cutest cover-up so far this season! Made of a super soft cotton with a touch of texture, the swing shape is easy and so perfect over any style swim. It comes in a slew of colors, too.
Fit Tip: I sized up to a small for easy layering over wet swimsuits.
And finally, can you even believe this statement dress is a Target find!? Like I said, absolutely nailing it! It’s made of a crisp cotton, with a full shape and tiers. Easily dressed up for everything from weddings to parties.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS
And while their fashion game is strong, the home department continues to deliver home runs, too! I’ve got this faux-fern all over my house, and just ordered these mirrors for the lake house primary bath vanities. I can’t wait to see them in person!
Here are a few more great decor finds on my radar…
one. Windowpane Throw Pillow // two. Round Wood Accent Table
three. Utensil Caddy // four. Rattan Mirror
five. Faux Citrus Branch // six. Ceramic Vase
seven. Upholstered Ottoman // eight. Faux Plant
nine. Waste Basket // ten. Woven Pouf
eleven. 4-Piece Napkin Set // twelve. Framed Art
So much good stuff, right?! It’s no wonder I go overboard every time I head to Target. These denim shorts are definitely one of my best finds yet, and this door mat now lives on both my porches! Oh, and while you’re there, this purple shampoo is the best I’ve found at cutting brassy tones.
What about you… is Target your weakness, too? What awesome Target finds have you discovered lately?
