Target Haul (Plus, Incredible New Home Collection!)

Happy Friday, friends, and cheers to the weekend! By the response to yesterday’s Drugstore Beauty Buys and my recent Amazon Fashion Finds, I’d say y’all are really on-board for the affordable!! And I’m here for it, too…I can’t get enough of the fabulous finds for less.

One retailer in particular has been requested over and over, so today I’m here to deliver! Yes ma’am, we’re talking Target today!

Honestly, I often steer clear of Target, but only because it gets me into trouble every.single.time. I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve managed to spend under $100. It’s almost impossible!! Surely I’m not the only one?!

To protect my pocketbook, I stuck with mostly online for this scouting session. Their website pics don’t do most pieces any justice, so much of my order came as a pleasant surprise, and is a good mix of transitional basics and stand-out pieces.

Sugarplum Sizing: I’m 5’4″, 125-ish pounds (#covid), and my standard size is XS/0 and a 26 jean.

Sweaters & Cardigans //

Our temps dropped to the 50s yesterday, so of course we all jumped on the Fall bandwagon! Granted it will be short-lived, but it’s sure got me excited for the months ahead. This cozy pullover sweater is a poly/acrylic blend that’s super soft, with a relaxed fit. It’s got a slight high-low hem, giving the backside a little coverage, and comes in a slew of solids and stripes.

Cardigans are a Texas girl’s best friend in the early days of Fall, since it’s not uncommon for a day to start brisk and end sweltering. This long cardigan looks straight out of Madewell, but for a fraction of the cost. It’s super soft, and a comfortable medium weight that will take you to Winter, too. I love the longer length and deep pockets, plus it comes in great stripes and solids. Which stripe combo is your fave…I can’t choose!?

Tees & Tanks & Tops //

I’m living in cute tops and tees these days, especially since my top half is on Zoom much of the time! I was instantly smitten with this fluttery top, and immediately wanted it in all the colors! It’s soft and light, but pairs well with transitional shoes like slides and flats, so I can get many more months of wear out of it. The body is a slight bell-shape, for a forgiving fit, and wears well tucked or out. The neckline is elastic for easy on-and-off.

Sleeveless season may be winding down for some, but I actually love them for transitional seasons when paired with jeans and slides or flats. This neckline is crazy flattering, and the material is soft and super-stretchy. The white was a little on the sheer side, but the darker colors were perfect, and the price is a steal!

Leopard is still going strong, and remains one of my go-to fave patterns. This top is an a-line shape in a crisp poplin-style fabric that has just enough volume. The neckline is elastic with a cute flutter sleeve. It also has a tie on the back, but is easily removed if it’s overpowering for you.

Another fun option, this top is equal parts floral and leopard. It’s a heavy linen-blend, with exaggerated flutter sleeve and peplum hem. I’d pair it with black ankle jeans and flats, too.

Dresses, Skirts & Shorts //

This combo falls under ‘cute tops’ as well, because I can’t get enough of either piece! Up first, the top is actually a sweatshirt material, making it super comfy. It has a banded hem for a casual untucked look, but also works as a tucked-in dressier top. The pink leopard is too cute for words, don’t you think!

The shorts are a favorite find, for sure. They pull on with a wide, elastic waist, and soft chambray material. They’re a great cut-off short alternative, and so easy and flattering to wear.

Here’s my fave new top again, this time paired with a classic pleated midi skirt. It’s a pull-on style with elastic waist, and a sturdy weight for dressing up, or keeping it casual with sandals. It comes in several solids, as well.

Meet my new Fall house dress! Well, once I order my correct size. I love everything about this easy dress…the color, the print, the balloon sleeve and open neck. Plus, it’s got pockets! It’s lightweight, but not sheer, and cute with sandals, slides, or booties.

I think I’m having a moment with emerald green and rust hues this season…I’m continually drawn to them! This dress is no exception, and I adore the colors and pattern. It has a comfortable elastic waist and feminine gathers at the neckline. The leg slit gives it a little sass and keeps it youthful.

Loungewear & Pullovers //

Surely I’m not the only one still living in loungewear, right?! This pink is so fun, and the pullover hoodie is comfy with jeans, and super cute paired with the matching shorts for a fun set. Plus, I love any chance to wear these sneakers!

And as if Target weren’t killing it already in the Fashion department, their new Magnolia and Threshold decor selection is an absolute homerun!
