Sweet & Sassy

We’re continuing our sweetheart’s theme today, and talking all things pink and red! The color combo is one of my favorites year-round, but especially in February. I’m not much for thematic clothes (hearts and such), but I do love to acknowledge holidays through the use of color. And of course, fun pops of accessories. Kendra Scott just released their new Spring Collection, and it wasn’t hard to find a whole bevy of new favorites. (Yep, bevy!)

Mr. SP and I are actually headed out-of-town next week (so excited to spend a few days in one of our fave spots), so it’s safe to say my Valentine’s Day outfit will be this red swimsuit. But if we were hitting the town, this lace midi would be a total winner!

If it looks familiar, that’s because I’ve worn the black version no fewer than 20 times in the last few years! (See it here.) It’s just one of those dresses that fits for so many occasions…weddings, cocktail parties, black tie, anniversaries, holidays, and more. It never lets me down, and always brings the compliments. I figured it was high-time I added a new color, and this vibrant red was just calling my name!

The bodice is fitted with adjustable straps, and the cut-out lace provides a peek of skin, but still keeps you covered. It’s sassy, while still being fairly modest. The lace is thick and substantial, so it provides support through the body and bust, too.

Fit Tip: It runs small, so size up. I’m wearing a small, and it’s snug enough to skip a bra.

The red is punchy enough on its own, so I opted for nude heels and neutral gold jewels, like rings, cuff, and earrings. The pop of leopard grounds the whole look and keeps it from being one note.

I have several new favorites from the new Kendra Scott Spring Collection, but I’ve worn the rings more than another other in the last few weeks. I love the thick cigar-band style (my grandmother always wore a ring like this!), but it also comes with two smaller bands. Wear them together, or break them up on multiple fingers.

The midi ring is a fun addition, too, and fits just above the first knuckle. It comes in a trio, but I broke it up and gifted the other two to friends. The cuff has been a go-to piece for awhile…in fact, I wore it in almost every Resort shot!

Again with the outfit repeaters….but the sweater, jeans, and leopard flats are part of my regular rotation. In fact, the black jeans and flats were in your Top 10 Favorite Buys last year!

I’ve had this pair of Liverpool Jeans for quite a while, and not only have they not faded after countless washes, but they hold their shape for multiple wears. They have a great mid-rise, and slightly cropped inseam (perfect for flats, sneakers, and booties). The dark rinse adds a little sophistication to outfits, too.

Fit Tip: Liverpool Jeans are true to size, I’m wearing 26.

I’ve shared this sweater several times, too…I love the soft material and ruffle detail. It’s a great mid-weight for transitional seasons, and comes in a ton of colors. While it’s still chilly, I layer it over a collared shirt, or under a light jacket.

I have this twill jacket in a slew of colors, too…you absolutely can’t beat the price for the quality!

Fit Tip: I size up one in the sweater (wearing small), but jacket is true to size (wearing XS).

The pretty shell and acrylic tabs on these hoop earrings can be removed and rearranged to create the look you like best. They’re lightweight and come in both white and a blue color way. I’m still smitten with the chain bracelet, and personalized it with Mr. SP’s initial.
