Sugarplum Style, Vol. 47

Cheers to Friday, friends! I hope you’ve had a great week, with fun plans ahead. I’m headed South today for a little girl’s getaway with some of my favorite blogger babes. That term usually annoys me, but considering the girls, it’s a suitable adjective! It’s actually several of the friends I mentioned in yesterday’s travel post (btw, did you see my St. Petersburg recap…as in, Russia?!).

We’re all meeting in Round Top, which looks to be the quaintest little Texas town on the map, with cafes, wine bars, and shops around every corner. Many of you may know it from its world-renowned Antiques Fair, or the Junk Gypsy World Headquarters…we’re actually staying in their brand new Wander Inn! Follow along on Instagram for the cuteness overload.

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. My hope is that they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.

And friends, it’s been a hot one…so the layers are few and the outfits simple! This pink and white combo was definitely a favorite, and this skirt has become a regular staple for me. It’s like wearing shorts, but longer and a little more dressed up. That’s what I call girl logic. Also, size down one in the skirt.

This one-piece…perfect for active moms, but doesn’t look like a ‘mom suit.’ It even, dare I say, sassy?! Plus, it’s extra comfortable and stays put. I sized up one, but I have a long torso.

I wore this casual combo for the Fourth, and was appropriately patriotic while staying cool thanks to the linen-blend tank. I’ve tried several pairs of denim cutoffs, and these are by far my favorites (and true to size).

Do you know what I love so much about this dress…besides the color and ruffle racerback? All it needs is a messy bun and I’m Date Night ready! It’s also equally darling for day with these flat sandals.

Speaking of Date Night…still dreaming of this stunning maxi dress and the Regal Princess Skywalk! Not to mention, the 6-course dinner that followed!

Oh hey, here’s that skirt again. See how I look kind of dressed up? Except I’m as comfy as if I were wearing shorts and flip flops. That’s the magic of skirts and cute sandals!

My other trick for instantly transforming even the most casual outfit…statement earrings! My adage is it takes just as much energy to dress in schleppy clothes as it does cute ones, so why not try to look cute?! Even if this were a basic white tee, the earrings would make the outfit.

Blue and white forever!

There’s a reason I have this dress in three colors…it just always works! Plus, it’s lightweight, which is kind of my first priority for July in Texas!

There’s nothing like spending time near the water…it’s always been my happy place. These white cutoffs are making me pretty happy too, not to mention, the cute smocking of this top.

And finally, these pieces were favorites from my recent Dressing Room Diaries, and came with me this weekend!

Such cute outfits as always. And it’s so true that I Rae’s just as much time and energy to dress schelpy as it does cute. Can’t wait to hear about Roundtop. I’ve wanted to go for a while now!
