Summer of Style | 07

Happy Wednesday, lovebugs. The guys made it to Florida late last night, and I can breathe a little easier having our little tribe reunited. Especially after the tragic events of the weekend, my instinct is to hunker down in a protective bubble.

It’s only a few short days, but I’m going to treasure every second of this time to connect before a new school year begins again. Of course we have to fit in all our fave restaurants on island, too, so the next few days will be full of fish tacos, grouper sandwiches, and key lime pie! (See all my Trip Reports from Anna Maria island here.)

Today I’m continuing our Summer of Style series, with a vibrant dress with a fun handkerchief hem, that’s easily styled for Day and Night…and transitions from Summer to Fall.

Handkerchief Hem Dress | Sandals | Straw Bag | Sunglasses

I was immediately drawn to the bold colors of this dress…so bright and happy for Summer, but with all the best Fall tones, too. It layers beautifully with a jean jacket or blazer, and works with flat sandals, wedges, heeled sandals and pumps. I’d even add a belt for more versatility.

The silky material is soft and flowy, and the straps adjust for a custom fit. The skirt’s liner is stretchy and fitted, creating an extra level of support. I found it at a newly-opened shop near me, Evereve, but they have a huge online store, as well.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS, but I’d size up one if you’re busty.

I love these delicate, layered necklaces. I’ve been wearing them with everything lately, and they add a subtle touch without making a statement. The double strand coin necklace is only $25!! Evereve has an incredible selection of jewelry, much of it super affordable…find it all here.

These bracelets are totally on-trend right now, and this set is a great affordable option! (The originals are in the $100s!)

With a quick shoe and accessories change, this dress is ready for a night out!

Handkerchief Hem Dress | Nude Heels | Clutch | Cuff

I’m obsessed with the new colors of Kendra Scott’s Fall Collection! This shade pairs perfectly with the dress, and I love the swingy shape of the earrings.

Since you’re a style blogger, you have to start talking about fall fashion. I’m trying to pretend it’s another couple months away … October maybe? Actually, in my case it is! In late September (still summer in Seattle) we’re off to Maui for two weeks. So my summer will last as long as my dreams…

Have ordered from Evereve online store and their Trendsend boxes. Have tried two of those. The first one was wonderful (for fall). The one for summer was not quite what I expected. However, I did learn about new brands and found a wonderful faux suede moto jacket for last fall and winter that will last for years. The pricing for the Trendsend is a bit high for me, but the sale items online are reasonable. Glad to see you model this dress and would love to see more with their items.
