Cheers to Friday, friends!! What’s on your weekend agenda? We’ve got some pretty ambitious hikes planned in Big Bend for today, so wish us luck!
Thanks so much for the love on this week’s posts! I’m thrilled you loved the new Spring staples included in Monday’s Camo in Spring post, and all the great deals in the new Faves Under $50. I always love hearing your feedback, and so appreciate when you take the time to read and reach out! (You can sign up for my daily posts and weekly newsletter here…so you never miss a post!)
Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.
I could also call this post ‘Peplum Tee on Repeat’, since I wore a version of it practically every other day! It’s crazy soft cotton (like pajama soft), with a swingy peplum hem. It’s so cute with a tassel necklace or statement earrings, and looks darling worn alone or layered under jackets. Which you’ll see plenty of shortly.
Fit Tip: It’s a generous fit, I’m in an XS. The distressed jeans run large though, so I sized down to a 25.
Peplum Tee | Distressed White Jeans | Wedge Espadrilles | Jean Jacket | Deer Print Bag | Earrings
I held off grabbing this jacket in blush as long as I could, and now I can’t stop wearing it. The color is so fresh for Spring, and surprisingly versatile. These are the high-waisted jeans from DRD last month, and they’ve quickly become my fave pair of jeans. So soft and comfy, and keeps everything tucked in. Love the ankle length, too.
Fit Tip: Both the jacket and jeans run true, I’m wearing an XS and 26, respectively.
Crewneck Merino Sweater | Blush Utility Jacket | Leopard Belt | High Waist Ankle Jeans | Earrings | Ring | Sunglasses
We finally had a sunny day, so I jumped at the chance to wear sandals! And yep, those are the high-waisted jeans again.

I kind of like the idea of skipping Spring and going straight to Summer! Who’s with me?! I blame it on the striped slides!
Fit Tip: I size up in the one-piece for more torso length, and wear a 4.
Plunging One-Piece Swimsuit | White Jeans Shorts | Striped Slides | Woven Bag | Sunglasses
I never met a leopard I didn’t love, and this woven pullover is so soft and the perfect weight for Spring. I’ve worn it both alone and layered over chambray. The white jeans keep it fresh and Spring-ready.
Fit Tip: I sized up to a small in the pullover for a more relaxed fit.
Leopard Pullover | Chambray Shirt | White Jeans | Sunglasses
I have this thing with camo! This jacket is seriously amazing and such great quality for the price. It comes in six colors and I’m slowly collecting them all.
Camo Utility Jacket | Ruffle Neck Pullover | Distressed Jeans | Booties | Crossbody Bag
What is it about this trench that makes me feel like a #bosslady?! It’s a great weight for transitional seasons, and infinitely chic. See more of it here.

Y’all…this book!!!! It was so good, and so unbelievably sad. I’ve been on a World War II kick with my reading lately, but it might be time to switch over to easy beach reads for awhile. As long as I’m wrapped in these jersey knit pjs, I don’t really care what I’m reading though.
Pajama Set | Book | Face Mask
Cozy with a kick! This sweatshirt is thick and soft with the cutest eyelet hem. Paired, of course, with my high-waisted jeans.
Fit Tip: The sweatshirt is true, but I’d size up if you’re busty or in-between.
Eyelet Trim Sweatshirt | High Waist Jeans | Hoop Earrings | Sunglasses
These loafers are buttery soft and go with everything. They’ve been great for this transitional weather when it’s not quite warm enough for sandals, and so comfy. And ohmygosh, I’m wearing the high-waisted jeans again!!
Fit Tip: Size down half in the loafers.
Utility Jacket | Ruffle Trim Pullover | High Waist Jeans | Loafers | Deer Print Bag | Sunglasses
Utility jackets and jean jackets are my go-to for Spring and Fall, and I love the slight distressing and light wash of this stretchy jacket. The earrings were my favorite part though!
Fit Tip: The jacket runs true, I’m wearing XS
Distressed Jean Jacket | Peplum Tee | White Jeans | Earrings | Sunglasses| Lipstick
Desperately seeking Spring! I can’t wait to be able to actually wear these combos every day!
Striped Bell Sleeve Tee | White Distressed Jeans | Wedge Espadrilles | Clutch | Earrings
This is one of my favorite pics ever…I posted it on International Women’s Day to celebrate my sweet girl. And this girly top! Are you loving the one-shoulder trend again this year? I know I am!

Love the white low-key peplum in the first picture! Peplum is a trend that never really grew on me, the only way I can see myself wearing it is if it’s not too OTT, like yours! 🙂

What size are your wearing in the camo Utility jacket? Your sizing always works for me!
XS!
Cassie, if you stay on the WWII books I would highly recommend Irena’s Children by Tilar Mazzeo. I couldn’t put it down.
Thank you for the suggestion!! I’m reading ‘We Were the Lucky Ones’ right now,and loving it!
You’re wishing for spring / summer … me too! I’m dealing with a fx right shoulder so I’m also wishing I could shave my legs and underarms again. And wear a bra, all necessary preludes to wearing my cute summery clothes again.
I did just buy myself a deep ruffle topped swimsuit I can wear one armed.
Lots of cute looks I’m longing to wear.
C. Your FB post about Mr. SP getting nervous as you pulled up to the Prada store was hilarious!
😉
I am in love with this style! Gorgeous!
The Old Navy utility jacket in blush- do you wear that as part of an outfit or just as an actual spring jacket? I was at my Old Navy store and of all the colors it was offered in, the pink was most popular. Also, here is another World War 2 book recommendation. If you haven’t read the book Lilac Girls by Martha Hall Kelly, you need too. Better yet, if you can listen to it on audio, the voices are so well done. And last, how do you stay so fit and trim? You look amazing. Do you have any tips to share on what you do? Or, maybe you have just been naturally blessed. Let us know!
I wear it as a light jacket, and an outfit addition! It’s a great weight for this time of year. And I loved Lilac Girls!!!
The Nightingale is one of my favorite books. If you enjoy World War II, Beneath a Scarlet Sky by Mark Sullivan is A-mazing! Love the peplum tops for spring!
I have that on my nightstand for next!!
Love your style!
