Sugarplum Style, Vol. 58

Thanks so much for the love on yesterday’s Sweet & Sassy style post! I hope you found some fun new outfit ideas, and were inspired for Valentine’s Day! I’ve got one more holiday-themed post coming up (staring my favorite little girl!), so stay tuned for the sweetest little freckled face!

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.

This post was a popular one, and not because the outfit was particularly ground-breaking (although, that pullover is magically-soft), but because I finally found the world’s best bralette! It fits and wears like a traditional bra (adjustable straps and multiple hooks in the back), but has a larger coverage area so it peeks out of your low-dipping tops. It’s really thin, so I’m able to layer it over my regular bra for more support (and lift!).

If a top comes in pink, I’m always going to get the pink. And then the gray. I just can’t help myself! And this one (styled it two ways yesterday!) is so cozy!!

These pullovers have been my weekend uniform (aka, mom-iform) all season. And unless I’m leaving the house, you’ll find me in these slipper moccasins.

A little Spring dreaming, maybe? I’m ready to pack my bags and head back to Maroma! This dress comes on virtually every trip…it packs like a dream and always looks darling!

Even my all-neutral outfits have a pop of pink. I guess it’s no longer considered all-neutral then, is it? This is my favorite lightweight crewneck, and I can’t help but add a new color every time they go on sale (like now…they’re 40% off!).

Have you noticed I find a pair of earrings I love, then wear them ad nauseum?! Or maybe that just goes to show the versatility of this pair! I’ve had this sweater for awhile, and it’s a great longer length…and now back in a ton of new colors! Also, I had my hair done that day, no way it ever looks like that on my own.

The 90s called, and they said, ‘You’re Welcome!!’  I think my family is already sick of seeing me in this shirt. Too bad.

My fave jean shorts went on sale for $15, so of course I had to post. #bloggeroath This off-the-shoulder sweatshirt has seen a lot of trips, too…love the sassiness with jeans, shorts and even workout leggings.

Another pullover that I pair with everything from jeans to workout wear…I love the exposed hem and edges, and loose cowlneck. The oatmeal color is sitting in my wish list!

Same crewneck sweater, different color. (I’m telling you, I have a ‘few’.) This pink is certainly the one in heaviest rotation. And if you think I only wore it so I could wear these earrings, then you’d be correct. #obsessed

When a groundhog tells you there’s six more weeks of Winter, you laugh in his face with Spring-like colors! This sweater is crazy-soft, so relaxed, and under $50.

See, I can do neutrals. (In a flatlay) 😉

This tassel necklace was probably my most-worn accessory this Fall, and it’s finally restocked! It works with so many outfits and colors!

Repeat (outfit) offender. So what?

This swimsuit went on sale for a hot-minute, so I had to post it…and from the response, many of you now own (and LOVE) it! I sized up two, and wearing a 4. I’ve had some questions about support and padding. Let’s be clear…I’m not exactly in need of a lot of support, nor do I plan on playing competitive beach volleyball in it. I will, however, take beach walks and sit on lounge chair sipping cold drinks. It’s that kind of suit, and I’m okay with that! 😉

When in doubt, add a jean jacket! It makes every outfit look like ‘more.’ (See my Five Ways Jean Jacket here!) These cargo pants feel a bit like you’re cheating…they really feel like pajamas!

Don’t I look like I’m ready to stroll the Seine whilst eating a croissant? And saying words like whilst? It’s so simple, but something about this outfit feels so French chic to me. That ‘Love, First’ tee is 30% off, too.

The only thing that makes six more weeks of Winter tolerable? This turtleneck! The colors are so fun, not to mention the relaxed, easy fit. (It’s on crazy sale!)

And finally, a sneak peek of the next Dressing Room Diaries coming later this week!! I hit the denim jackpot, and had to share…starting with these high-rise jeans! They hit just below your belly-button, so they hold in all the things…and have the cutest ankle length with exposed hem (no other distressing though). They fit my waist like a glove, but plenty of stretch to accommodate my hips and bum. Plus, they are really soft, and not too thick. Basically your perfect Spring jean. (True to size, I’m wearing 26)

I’m still a sucker for distressed jeans, and these felt like pajamas…so soft and stretchy! They have a mid-rise, making them easy to move around with ‘malfunctions’. I wore them everyday this weekend (they’re that good), and they did stretch out some, so you might size down if you’re in between.

So many great looks and pieces. The merino crew sweater and white jeans looks like you are waiting for your polo pony to come out of the stables-but this look can go anywhere. : )

Love all the color you wear! I find when I wear color I get a lot of compliments. I think some are responding to the actual item but most are just responding to a color being in the world on a cruddy day : ) One of my favorite things about buying something (especially a coat) in a bright color is the dismissal of the original thought – it’s not practical. Speaks to my teenage self – oh yea? Then I’ll take it ! : )

You’re cracking me up today. I want to stroll the Seine and say “whilst” too! Saving the pink striped turtleneck for Valentine’s Day when we all dress in our colors at work. 🙂

So I bought the groundhog/spring color referenced sweater at your recommendation and it pilled horribly. Ok for a $15 Not a $50 sweater. So disappointed.
