Sugarplum Style, Vol. 54

Happy humpday, friends! We’ve made it to the halfway point of the longest week everrrrrr! Seriously, this time change is kicking my boo-tay! So weird how one little hour can wreak so much havoc. I do like being able to wake up easier though, so I guess there’s the up side.

Today it’s time for another round of Sugarplum Style, snapshots of my everyday outfits I share on Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing and matching items in my closet. This round is a mash-up considering the temperamental weather, but I hope they inspire you to stretch your wardrobe further by mixing up what you already have, and thoughtfully add new things.

I’ve worn this hooded cardigan literally every day since July (when I snagged it at the Anniversary Sale)…but this was the first time I actually left the house in it! I reach for it the second I get home every day (like, I literally can not wait to put it on)…so I finally figured why not be that comfy outside the house?!

Tee | Hooded Cardigan | Jeans | Booties | Earrings | Monogrammed Tote | Lipstick

We had one night of freezing temps, so of course we got the fireplace going and busted out the marshmallows. It was short-lived, but I loved the chance to wear these thermal pajamas!

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS.

Striped Pajamas

This shirtdress has come in handy more times than I can count this season, and I’m thrilled to see it restocked, and new colors added. I’m partial to the wine and navy for this time of year, and of course you can’t go wrong with the black.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing an XS

Crepe Shirtdress | Tassel Earrings | Lipstick in ‘Punch’ | Necklace | Bracelet | Watch

This sassy night out look is from last year, but I found these OTK boots re-stocked and had to share! They’re the best I’ve tried, and under $100! My moto jacket is on super-sale, too. I hope you’re a fan of black jeans because I have a fun series with them next week!

Moto Jacket (on sale!) | Cami | OTK Boots (also here & here) | Leopard Clutch | Tassel Necklace | Hoop Earrings

I’m absolutely NOT wearing sunglasses inside the mall! Okay, maybe I am. #thingsbloggersdo I couldn’t pass up the chance to share this turtleneck tunic with y’all…lightweight and super-soft (thanks to a touch of cashmere), it’s the perfect length for leggings, too.

Tunic Sweater | Jeans | Boots | Tassel Necklace | Monogrammed Tote

I love the simple, yet chic, combo of white and camel…especially with a hit of leopard. These lace-up scallop flats are on sale, as is my leopard entry rug!

White Jeans | Lace-Up Scalloped Flats | Leopard Rug

How can a girl not be happy when she’s wearing her favorite dress and surrounded by flowers?!

Crepe Shirtdress | Peep-Toe Booties | Earrings

My go-to outfit for ‘active adventures’…this cotton cowlneck is equally cute with jeans or workout leggings. And these trail shoes get me up every hike! Seriously, they’ve gotten me from the Grand Canyon to Sedona this year.

Cowlneck Cotton Tunic | Leggings | Trail Shoes

I may travel all over, but I’m a native Texan through and through, and love showing my state pride with cute tees and caps. The Home T carries my favorites…so cute and soft, plus they donate a portion of proceeds to MS research. I grabbed this sweatshirt after Little Miss swiped my tee (it’s her favorite sleep shirt, that’s how soft they are!), and I know I’ll be reaching for it every weekend this Fall.

Fit Tip: I sized up to a small in the sweatshirt just for more room, but prefer my usual XS in their tees.

State Sweatshirt | Jeans | Sneakers (on sale under $60!!)

It’s impossible to slip this dress on, and not feel like a million bucks! It has some sort of magical figure-transforming power, and looks good on all shapes and sizes.

Fit Tip: I size up to a small for a less body-con fit.

Ruched Tank Dress | Cardigan | Peep-Toe Booties | Necklace | Leopard Clutch

I’d be lying if I said I weren’t a little nervous crossing the suspension bridge at the Royal Gorge in Colorado! We could feel it moving beneath our feet, and the boards even rattled a few times. Little Miss and I actually sprinted the final yards just to be back on solid ground. This puffer and pullover were perfect for the cold, windy day though.

Packable Puffer Jacket | Pullover | Leggings | Trail Shoes

Are you tired of this tassel necklace yet? I really do try to wear different necklaces, but this one just looks so good with so many things!

Cardigan | Essential Tank | Tassel Necklace | Jeans | Booties | Monogrammed Tote

You can rest assured I’ll find the tacos in any city, and these in NYC are delicious! My layers and slip-on sneakers were comfortable for a long day of exploring (and eating).

Striped Mockneck Sweater | Camo Jacket | Jeans | Slip-On Sneakers | Crossbody Bag

When your check-out time is 7am, you throw on your comfiest pants and go! These cargos are light and stretchy, and great for a long day of travel or running around. (I’m wearing petite for a cropped length.)

Jean Jacket | Tee | Cargo Pants | Sneakers | Tote

My obsession with pink and burgundy continues…spurred on actually by these statement earrings. The moment they arrived, I had to style an outfit around them. That’s normal, right?!

Quilted Puffer Vest | Sweater | Jeans | Booties | Earrings

This soft (almost fluffy!) cardigan has been great for this crazy in-between weather. The neutral color goes with everything, and adds a fun layer to my outfits.

Ruffle Trim Blouse (40% off!) | Cardigan | Jeans | Peep-Toe Booties | Earrings | Monogrammed Tote

It’s funny, up until a year ago, my pajamas consisted of flannel pants and old college tees. Then I got my first really cute set, and all of a sudden, I was a pajama connoisseur! I mean, I wear them more than care to admit, so I figure I should at least look cute in them. Right?! These from are made from the same pima cotton as newborn pajamas (you read that right!), so basically you’re wearing grown-up sized baby pajamas. Wrap your head around that comfort level, and put them on your Christmas list.

Fit Tip: I’m wearing a regular small, they’re available in tall sizes, too.

Jijamas Striped Pajamas | Mug

And finally, this dolman sweater is soft and stretchy, and so fun to wear. I paired it with knee boots (and my tassel, obviously) for a night out.

Dolman Sleeve Sweater | Tassel Necklace | Jeans | Boots | Sunglasses | Bag

That’s it for `today, I hope you found some new outfit inspiration, and fresh ideas for mixing things up in your closet!

Quick question- does the barefoot dreams hooded cardigan shed? Some of the reviews say that’s a problem. Thank you.

I kept my phone off most of the trip, so I didn’t do an official Trip Report. Hopefully we’ll be back! Your trip sounds amazing!
