Cheers to Friday! We made it through the first week of school….and wowza did it feel long!! I know some people who’ll be sleeping late tomorrow! #me My sister is coming to town this weekend, so we’re heading to the lake for some fun family time. What’s on your agenda?

Today it’s your monthly dose of Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits I post to Instagram and Facebook, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. We spent some time at the beach, so this batch is vacation-heavy. (Trip Report coming soon for those of you asking about the island!)

We had a few surprise low-temp days, so I jumped at the chance for this pre-Fall look for a casual night out. This clutch is by far my best score lately…at only $25, it really packs a punch! (Now comes in a moody gray & black combo!)

We flew out before the sunrise, so I opted for super casual and comfy for the plane ride to Florida. We were greeted by some serious winds and tropical storms! But it’s hard to be mad about anything when your toes are in the sand (and you’re wearing ruffles on your sleeves)!

We spend a lot of time every Summer in the pool, lake and ocean…so my swimsuits are typically only good for one season. For that reason (and because I’m kind of cheap), I stick with affordable options, and buy them on sale.

My vacation style was really casual this time…in that, I considered myself dressed up if I wore shoes.

Have you noticed some bloggers manage to look amazing on vacation, with full-blown hair and makeup? Yeah, that’s not me. I literally didn’t touch a hair dryer, or apply anything more than sunscreen (and lipstick #duh) for the entire trip. #bliss I kind of hoped cute dresses and tassel bracelets disguised my habitual beach hair.

      No, I don't keep an inventory…and I'm a frequent purger!! I choose to bring items home based on how they make me fell when I try them on, and how they fit. Making them work in my closet is the fun part!! That's the goal of most of my style posts…showing you how to work the different pieces in your closet multiple ways! xoxo
