Sugarplum Style, Vol. 19

Cheers to Friday! What are your plans for the weekend? We’ll likely find things to do away from the house! Even though we’re only making over one room, somehow the entire house is a disaster!? Hoping the floor guy fits us in soon…the whole One Room Challenge is kind of on hold until then! #passthepaperbag

It’s time for another Sugarplum Style…snapshots of my everyday outfits, created by mixing-and-matching items in my closet. And thanks to the sporadic weather, it’s a mixed-bag of seasons, too!

We had one practically-chilly day (it was 70-degrees!), so I immediately piled on all my Fall favorites…plaid scarf, jacket, jeans and booties.

Distressed Jeans | BootiesWatch (on crazy sale!!)

This pearl cluster necklace has become one of my favorite accessories lately…it seems to dress up an outfit, yet add a touch of quirk. And quirk just so happens to be my middle name. #notreally #itsactuallymichelle

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style

This is an example of a good early-Fall transitional outfit (see more here)…a favorite Summer top, paired with jeans and sandals.

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style

I’ve had way more fun than I should admit scheming up Fall outfits lately. A girl can dream, right?! #heyFall #readywhenyouare
Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style

Another classic early-Fall look…I love that this scarf is a gauzy lightweight, I get to wear plaid without having a heatstroke. #bonus

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Fringe Bag (similar) | Watch | Spike Bracelet

I shared more of this dress earlier in the week with a {Now & Later}. I sure am glad you like it, because this isn’t the last you’ll see of it!

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Watch (super sale!) | Spike Bracelet | Leopard Cuff

A good striped dress is a closet staple, I think. I’ve had this one for years, and can’t even count the number of different ways I’ve styled it. (This is a favorite.)

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Stripe Dress (similar) | Necklace (similar) | Jean Jacket

I shared this leopard sweater in my last Dressing Room Diaries…it decided to come live with me. #nicekitty

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Leopard Sweater | Dark Jeans | Monogram Tweed Bag
Spike Necklace | Agate Bracelet | Wedge Lace-Up Booties

The opposite of jeans and a tee in this weather, is shorts and a light sweater…as long as you cover one set of limbs, I think you still look season-approriate. Love the kick this fun beaded tassel necklace gave the outfit!

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style

Gray Sweater (similar) | Jean Shorts | Leopard Sandals
Striped Bag | Beaded Tassel Necklace

This was an oldie, but goodie…brought back from this {Date Night Style} post…but the buffalo plaid scarf is back, so I had to share.

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Buffalo Plaid Scarf | Striped Shirt | Military Vest (similar) | Bag (similar)

Chambray is an all-season material in my book, and you’ll be hard-pressed to find an outfit that doesn’t look cute paired with it!

Chambray Shirt | Graphic Shorts | Beaded NecklaceWatch
Striped Bag | Leopard Sandals

Can you tell I’m ready to wear my new blanket scarves?!

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style

So I may have been sweating a little, but dang-it I had to wear this sweater! How cute will it be paired with black pants or a pencil skirt?? #Illanswerthat #supercute

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Leopard Sweater | Dark Jeans | Monogram Tweed Bag | Wedge Lace-Up Booties

And finally, this snuggly shot from our last {Date Night Style} post. Wish I remembered what Mr. SP was saying to me…it looks like it’s probably something sexy, right? He was probably asking if I wanted a breath mint. 😉

Hi Sugarplum | Sugarplum Style
Little Black Dress | Sunglasses | Crystal Bracelet | Clutch (similar)
Ring | Fringe Sandals (similar here & here)

I hope these posts inspire you to create new combinations from your closet! The key isn’t to have more clothes, but to mix up what you do have in new and different ways. Except for new booties like these or these (on sale!), you’re gonna to need those. #enabler

You can catch up with past installments of Sugarplum Style here, or follow my everyday-style outfits on InstaGram. Make sure you’re following my Facebook page, too…that’s where I post deals, steals, sales and goodies! Happy weekend, lovebugs!

P.S. Did you know you don’t have to wait for these posts to get my outfit details? Just click that ‘Shop My Feed’ widget in the sidebar, and it takes you directly to each pic with links to what I’m wearing. #whatwilltheythinkofnext

Such cute outfits! I am so excited — you told us about the sole society booties that were back in stock last weekend — mine came yesterday…OMG…I LOVE EM!
A question for you about that plaid dress…I am thinking about the later wearing of it — I am in CO, so it gets cold —what colored tights would you think to wear — I love tights, but am always afraid to buy any color other than black, as Im afraid of looking like a kid! Would love to hear your suggestions! THANK YOU!! TGIF!

    • Yay, I'm thrilled you snagged the boots and love them! I tend to stick with dark tights, especially with dark-colored dresses and skirts like the plaid one. I'd probably do black or navy! xo

It's all just so good. I couldn't justify another pair of brown/taupe booties, so I got the Sole/Society ones in navy. They are so cute!
