Hello friends, and welcome to Christmas in our home! I’m thrilled to be taking part in the Holiday Home Tour blog hop, hosted by my dear friend, Chris. If you’re coming over from Emily’s, at 11 Gables, then welcome to our colorful house! We’ve had our decor up for a few weeks, so we’re in a full blown Christmas frenzy now….we’re talking Griswald proportions! Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration, but I’m prone to it.
I’ll let the overload of photos do most of the talking…so pour yourself some cocoa, spike it if you can, and poke around our house…I promise I won’t report you as a stalker.
All greenery from Home Depot / Front Porch Makeover
{DIY} Decorative Ball / Tray & Bust from Home Goods
Thanks to our allergies, most of the greenery inside the house is fake…but I do grab free branches from the Home Depot tree tent as filler.
{DIY} Snakeskin Tray / Pottery from Home Goods / Monkey Dish
always a Maggie photobomb
Next to the ornaments my kids have made through the years, my favorite things to unpack each Christmas are the nativity scenes…we have about 10 scattered around the house…each holding different memories.
Some serve as bookends and table top decor…I love seeing my daughter playing with this one, using her little voice as Mary and Joseph! When she was little, she used to walk around with Baby Jesus clutched in her chubby hand, and showering him with kisses. Can you even stand the cuteness?!
In an effort to simplify this season, I only unpacked about half of our decor. It’s amazing how such small touches like bowls of ornaments make the whole place so festive, with so little effort.
Nook Makeover
Faith the Elf has been hanging around different spots….you can read our Top 20 Fun Elf on the Shelf ideas here.
Is there anything better than Christmas music playing, and cookies in the oven?
We have a double-mantel, so the family stockings hang in the Family Room…aka, the room where football plays all weekend long. I was guilty this time since my Frogs were on…go ahead and check that score! But don’t get me started, I’m still ticked about the playoff announcement. #wewererobbed 😉
But enough about football…and the rest of the house for that matter….we know it’s all about the tree! I loved last year’s ombre tree so much, we created it again. But this time, it’s accented with black and white stripes. Because, duh, they’re black and white stripes.
Balls in bowls, and more balls on antlers….doesn’t get much simpler than that! #twss
To go with the black and white theme, I used last year’s {DIY} No Sew Pom Pom Tree Skirt (say that five times fast) tutorial, and applied it to a checked tablecloth I found at H&M.
{DIY} Pom Pom Throw
My favorite view each morning, is coming around the corner and spotting our colorful tree.
It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Thanks so much for stopping by…next up on the tour is Tidy Mom, so go say ‘hi’ to Cheryl.
And to further whip up your Christmas frenzy, check out the rest of these talented girls all week!

Beautiful Cassie. Love the fun bright colors!
Gorgeous, my dear! You look like you're ready to have a party! I only took out about half of our decor too since we'll be in Paris (still can't believe it!!). I hope you'll follow along on Insta!
@heather_ourlife
gorgeous, cass! i love love love the buffalo check you added to the skirt and the first mantle is one of my all time favorites!
I'm allergic to pine too! Like emergency room trip allergic! It sucks because I would love to have a real tree at least once…and a real wreath. Ah…your house is as gorgeous as always Cassie. I love the trees in your entry way.
Cassie, your tree!!! One of my tops in all of the blogosphere! Love your one-of-a-kind chic and peppy style and how you incorporate it with Christmas! Enjoy it all with your cute family!
Wow- everything is just gorgeous! So fun and colorful and happy–everything Christmas should be!
I couldn't wait to see your tour, Cassie, and it didn't disappoint! Your tree is stunning and your living room mantle is dreamy! Save a few of those cookies for me, yum!
What a pretty Christmas! I love your decorations. And thank you for showing your nativities. I've yet to see one on any other blog. It disappoints me every year. But you've given me hope! Ok…off my soap box. Merry Christmas!
Your Christmas tour is so happy! I love all of the color!! Let's not talk about the Big 12 conference and just agree to be co-champions…whatever that is!?! he he #sicembears xoxo, Emily @ 11gables.blogspot.com
Love love love your colorful tree!!

friend…i absolutely LOVE the colorfulness of your decor! i feel like so many have strayed away from that and i think you have perfected the look of festive fun with pops of bright…HAPPY
So fun! Love all the pink Cassie!
I want to come rock around that Christmas tree. All so fun, colorful and festive. Love every inch, girl.
I love your colorful Christmas home! So beautiful and fun!
Debbie
Your house is so beautiful. I love your red front doors!
Your decor is always SO FUN! Now do my house!!
Your home is so cute and so fun! LOVE it all!
I love all the color you bring in. It's so happy and fun. And beautiful. I have an allergy to evergreen trees so no real trees or decor in my house much to my husbands dismay. I am a Bama girl and will always be a Crimson Tide fan, but I do not understand how TCU can be #3, then fall to #6! I watched the show where they explained it. I don't understand the new ranking system at all.
I love love love your tree Cassie! Lovely tour! Merry Christmas! xoxo
Your house just puts a smile on my face! So colorful, fun and happy! It matches your cheerful bubbly personality Cassie. Thank you for sharing your holiday home with us. Maggie can photo bomb any time she wants to. What a cutie and your kids, too.
I love your house! But I must say…. Roll Tide Roll! Sorry u brought up football 🙂
So stinkin' cute! I love the ombre tree and diy tree skirt. I may have to steal your free branches from Home Depot idea. I have some glass jars sitting around just waiting for a purpose! Also, my niece used to do the same thing with my mother-in-law's Nativity Scene. She'd carry around the tiny baby Jesus and treat him like a little baby doll. Too cute!
You need to come to my house and do this!!! Luke told me the other day, why cant we have a Christmas decorated house, everyone else has one? Let's at least turn on Christmas music to get in the spirit." I feel terrible! We always celebrate in Sweden and rush out the decor the day before Christmas when we arrive. And this year a temporary overfilled rental just doesn't inspire me to do it. But I promised him as soon as we move in the new house, I'll we'll go all out on Christmas decor. He would be BEYOND jealous to see your house!
That ombre tree is AMAZING , as is your whole christmas tour. Curious about the free pines from HD? Is this something you have to ask them for or is there a section that they keep free trims in?
Hello Cassie!! I love your son peeking out of the front door and all of the fun colors — such a festive, happy home. Merry Christmas!
You had me with your first image. So cute! Love your fun and feisty style.
I love the whole tour.. but my favorite items are the pom pom garland and the tree candles!
I think my favorite part is the sentimentality of the nativities. And I love your daughter's henna, how fun! 🙂
You've done a beautiful job! I especially love all the little pops of color you have added into your decor. And I have to ask, is that a Felt Ball Garland you have hanging on your fireplace?!

Love your Christmas decorations! So bright and fun! Merry Christmas!
Gorgeous tour Cassie! I love all the bright colors you use. Your tree is killer!
Cassie, your home looks gorgeous. I love those little handmade ornaments and the nativity scenes. I bet those hold precious memories. And finally kudos to you for holding back half the decor. I need to try that next year.
