Well, the moment I’ve been dreading all year, or for the last 18 years actually, finally came this weekend…our son graduated from high school! A few tears were shed, but mostly I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and excitement for him.
When he casually sauntered down the stairs Saturday morning, dressed in a suit (his choice) with his cap and gown draped over his arm, full of confidence and intention, I knew right then that he was ready. Ready for the next chapter. Ready to spread his wings. Ready to figure out life on his own.
I know the really hard moment still lies ahead…dropping him at college, or rather, driving away. But for now, I choose to savor every moment of this Summer together. He picked Greece as his senior trip/graduation gift, and we’re headed out today! I’ve been planning this trip for months, and couldn’t be more ready for dedicated family time. You know I’ll share it all here eventually, but you can follow our daily adventures on my Instagram Story.
Today I’m excited to share new inspiration from our Gibson x Hi Sugarplum Summer of Color, but first, I can’t even begin to thank you for all the love and support you showed our latest Collection! One of the things I love most about the Summer of Color Collection (besides all the color!), is all the styling options! The colors are consistent across the entire line, creating endless mixing-and-matching opportunities. You can pair pattern on pattern for a chic set, or break them up as separates, and essentially doubling your outfits! Which was super helpful for packing, since I only took a single carry-on for the next 12 days!
