Happy December! This has to be the fastest year ever…is it me, or has it really flown by?! I’m so excited to celebrate our first Christmas in the new house…and am pretty much already in a big, festive frenzy! Thanks to all the great sales, I’m almost done with my shopping, too…now it’s up to the UPS man to get them here, then it’s on to the wrapping.
Wrapping gifts is one of my favorite parts of Christmas…I love making each one special, and imagining the recipient not only opening the gift, but getting excited just to see the package. The last few years I’ve used photo tags and ornaments from Minted to adorn our packages…they make the gifts extra special, and are also sweet keepsakes for next year’s tree.
One year we created homemade felt gift tags.
And another we cut monograms out of paper.
We give a lot of gift cards, but still like to make them fun to receive…
My talented friend Stefanie invited me to join her and several creative bloggers to share our favorite Pretty Packages in her 2015 Inspired Wrapping Series today, and I’ve already pinned so many great ideas!
And are you still looking for great gifts to fill your packages? Macy’s started their popular Friends & Family Event today, and there are tons of great gift ideas and deals to be found. Just click each item for more info, or the links below.
Now would be a good time to grab my favorite flamingo sheets we used in our ORC Bedroom, too, while they’re on super sale! I even have the polka dots on Little Miss’s bed. Hey Santa, feel free to leave the OPI All-Stars Pack under the tree for me!
Have you finished your shopping…or started it yet? What about the wrapping? Check out yesterday’s Dressing Room Diaries for more fun ideas, and stop by tomorrow to see our new Christmas tree in all her shining glory!
*A portion of this post was created in collaboration with Macy’s, but all ideas, opinions and Santa-hinting are my own. Thank you for supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors!*
WOW! Your packages are BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!! Love the idea of the picture tags!
Beautiful packages! Love the photo tag idea. I'm almost done shopping and each night when the kiddos are in bed I wrap a few gifts. This year I decided to go with Kraft paper (now the owner of a 1000 foot roll, thanks Amazon lol) and I'm embellishing gifts with red crocheted yarn, white tassels or Pom poms, some with paper snow flakes that my oldest gladly cut for me, and hand made tags. It's simple but looks so cozy with yarn added!
sounds adorable! I'm using a chunky yarn ribbon I found at Container Store this year, too! #twinning xo
Thank you so much for joining!
How have I never seen that Starbucks card cup package before? I give lots of people Starbucks cards and this is just the cutest way to wrap them. Stealing it!
I need you to come to my house and wrap my gifts. Thank you. xo
Beautiful packages….love them!!
I really love wrapping gifts, too, but I usually wait until I have everything for everyone before I start that process. Gives me time to scope out Pinterest and blogs for inspiration. 🙂 I LOVE that Starbucks gift card idea with the cup. That is adorable and I definitely will use that. Thank you!
Oh I love these ideas – your wrapping is so pretty. So are the photos to show who the gift is for or who it is from? You've quite inspired me 🙂 Thank you x
Love the touch of the picture tags – so cute and your wrapping is just lovely.
