Pancakes & Pajamas Party (Plus a Winner & a Discount!)

Earlier this month, Rachie at A Chi Chi Affair posted a really cute Baby Shower for a Teacher. This ridiculously cute picture with cookies and milk set my wheels in motion!

Because even though my daughter’s birthday isn’t until March, of course I’m already thinking about it. (Hello, one of the best things about having kids is planning fun parties!!) And because I like to make things difficult unique, I decided to step outside the typical birthday-party-box and decided on a Pancakes & Pajamas theme!! The girls are too young for a sleepover, but they can still come over for a morning breakfast party, wearing their pajamas.

So I inquired on Rachie’s post if she knew of any resources for this theme (she always posts the cutest parties!) I was thrilled when she emailed me with her ideas! She even went so far as to put amazing Party Mood Boards together in a post.

(Really?!? A table set to look like a bed?!?! I die.)

Go check out her post for lots more pictures and all the fantastic details. But I have to say, I am bursting at the seams to get this party started!!

And can you stand how cute those straws are?! I’ve seen them all over Blogland, including this Valentine Party Lili at Swanky Chic Fete posted:

Of course I inquired on her post about where to find those ridiculously cute stripey straws (you can call me Barbara Walters)! I was so happy when she emailed me about Garnish, a delightful food packaging site. Even more thrilled when I discovered all their cute offerings. These things aren’t necessary for a successful party, but they add the special details that will make it memorable:

Check out their Party Ideas…I think I’ll be hosting a few of them! And as if that site isn’t cute enough….one of Lili’s lovely readers emailed me one too!!! Susan, from French Macaron (a brand-new blog, go show her some love!), saw my question about the straws and sent me a link to Bake It Pretty, another off-the-charts-cute Baking Supplies company.

This is what I love so much about the blogging community….seriously the nicest, most talented people, that go out of their way to help others. Thanks so much Rachie, Lili and Susan for your great resources and fun ideas! I can not wait to get started on Babygirl’s Pancakes & Pajamas birthday party! I’d love to hear your input too.

And now for our Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner!

Thanks to everyone who entered for a Free Blog Banner from House09! Random.org chose Kelli, who’s just getting started in the Blog World. Perfect timing for her!

Happy Weekend, friends…we’ll be hunkered down by the fire, as there’s rumor of ‘Wintry Mix,’…and I think we may need to start sampling some pancakes!

Cassie:You're a doll and your blog is just as sweet, right down to the last detail. Your pancakes and pajamas party is brilliant. Mom can be comfortable and what little one doesn't like a sleep over only there won't be any sleepless nights. Let us know how it turns out. Swanky Chic rocks and I will definitely check out Rachie and see what I'm missing

One of my favourite things to do when my boys were younger was to organize and throw really great parties! I just LOVE this idea of a pancake & Pajamas party- it's so sweet! Making the table up like a bed is such an adorable idea.
Have fun with your sweet boy & rowdy princess 🙂

Cassie, love the pancakes & pajamas theme! I made a really cute cake for a "half-sleepover" bday party for my daughter once – the kids came in their pjs – the cake looked like a big bed with a bunch of little kids under the covers (twinkies, frosted, with little faces made out of Nilla wafers.) The kids loved it and it was easy peasy….I'll have to find a picture and email it to you! Have fun planning!
