Well, was that the fastest weekend ever, or what!? Ours was full of baseball, pool party, and a date night…we hardly came inside! It was so nice, but flew so fast.

Not only do the warmer temperatures allow me to finally ditch the black tights, but I get to bring out the brights! You’re probably thinking, ‘I’ve never actually seen her wear neutrals?!’ Which is true, but my colors are a little more subdued in cooler months….not true now!

I don’t think a brighter outfit exists…but that’s just how I like it! Not only did I pair checks and floral, but bright orange and pink.Oh yeah, and a touch of blue. The skirt ties all the colors together, and even though the top is patterned, it still wears like a single color.

Just as I predicted, these wedges have been in constant rotation. They are so comfy and seem to go with just about everything! I love flat sandals, but I love what a heel does for my legs and height even more.

Fall is a tricky season in Texas. One day we’re in pants and jackets, the next demands for air conditioning. So before I fully commit to darker colors and tights, I jumped at one last chance to wear Summer’s brights.

Orange and pink is a favorite combination for me, and made even punchier by mixing them in their most vibrant hues.

There’s no hiding or becoming a wall flower in these colors, so prepare for comments!

Especially if you mix patterns with them, too! My outfit mixes stripes and checks, but since they have a common color, it just makes the outfit more interesting and not over the top.

I kept my shoes and accessories color-neutral, so they add sparkle, but keep me from looking like a clown in head-to-toe color.
