Combining stripes and florals isn’t new for me (see my other examples here and here). And pairing bright colors isn’t new around here, either (like this). This time, I tried out bright stripes, floral, and a handful of colors.
I think I hit the perfect trifecta, because I’m pretty smitten with the outfit. Can I say that about my own outfit? Either way, nobody’s putting baby in a corner in this get-up!
I feel a little bit like the kid in the Adam Sandler movie Big Daddy…as long as I’m wearing the sunglasses, I’m invisible. I’ll admit, they felt like a safety blanket, and I wasn’t as uncomfortable taking pictures. Why do I do outfit posts if it’s so awkward, you ask? Well, that’d be a good question. Ask my therapist. *I kid*
Like this room, my outfit is grounded in white…so it looks fresh and clean, not a jumble of colors bleeding into each other.
The yellow and green is repeated in the skirt, and pulls the whole outfit together. Virtually every color in the rainbow is in this skirt….so the outfit combinations are unlimited! I never buy something unless I already own at least 2-3 other items it can be paired with.
I hope you like this skirt, because it’s likely to make another appearance soon. What do you think of this colorful, stripey, floral get-up?
