Florals typically conjure up images of lightweight fabrics and Spring-time temperatures. We don’t usually associate them with black or sweaters. That’s why I love this skirt so much…because of the black background, I can make it work for any season. It also reminds me of those beautiful botanicals on black.
I let the colors of the skirt dictate the rest of the outfit, and threw in a little patten mixing with a peek of stripes on top. (Not as bold as this Stripes & Floral combination.)
Spring can’t make up her mind around here, so the coat, tights and windy picture-taking conditions remain.
Have you put away the Winter wear yet? When it finally does warm up, I’ll lose the tights and sweater, change my shoes, and this outfit is ready to go for the next season!
Pssst…the winner of the $100 Invitation Box Giveaway was announced here! I hope it was you!
love this outfit, can you give the link for the skirt again? all of the links are going to tulle
Thanks! I LOVE your blog!! It's my morning coffee stop 🙂
Thanks so much, Susie!! That skirt is so old, it's no longer available. The link to Tulle is the closet match I could find online. 🙂

Very cute outfit Cassie! I am also loving that artwork and the striped drapes. It is in the 80's in Florida now. Hope warmer weather finds you soon!
I'm wearing a very similar outfit today! A bright floral dress with a black cardigan and belt. It's nice and warm today in VA though – I was happy to be able to ditch the tights!
I have mixed feelings about ditching the tights….who knows what my legs look like under them!

Love this outfit! It's adorable!
I gave you a shout out on Instagram today since you inspired me to mix stripes and floral print! 😉
THAT COAT! LOVE that coat! And you have the most perfect tiny little waist to throw a belt over a skirt, shirt, and cardi. I would look like the Michelan Man.
Super cute and perfect for spring! http://www.styleoyster.blogspot.com
You look gorgeous, as always! I love the black/floral combo, and you pull it off perfectly! Thanks for the inspiration, Miss Cassie!

Do you mean have I packed away my winter woolen yoga pants yet? No. =]
It's not fair that you look this good. Even the windblown hair looks like Mr. Sugarplum or one of the kiddos just followed you around w/ one of those strategic wind machines. When I have windblown hair, it looks like Cameron Diaz's crusty bangs scene in There's SOmething About Mary.

I love your outfit! I wear black tights with lots of dresses until I get a little color on my legs!
