The Always Pan 101

Happy Hump Day, friends! Believe it or not, we’re preparing for another winter storm tonight, with ice and freezing temps in the forecast. Did I mention it was 75 degrees on Monday?!

Q. What are the 7 cookware items that the Always Pan can replace?

A. Get ready to clean out your pots and pan drawer! The Always Pan acts as a steamer and strainer (each Always Pan comes with a steamer basket!), sauté pan, sauce pan, rounded saucepan, skillet, fry pan, nonstick pan, and spoon rest.

 

Q. What are some features that make the Always Pan so special?

A. Not only is it completely non-stick and cleans up like a whiz, it has a built-in spoon rest for the included beechwood spatula (no more messy counters!), two pour spouts, nested steaming basket (perfect for steaming veggies or draining pasta), stay-cool knob on the lid, and handle helper (but be careful, it gets hot!).

Q. What are the best oils to use when cooking?

A. A high-smoke-point fat is recommended, such as avocado, peanut, coconut, or extra virgin olive oils. You can also use clarified butter like ghee. An oil’s smoke point refers to the point at which the oil gets too hot and begins to break down (aka: to smoke). When the oil reaches that smoke point, it can leave residue on the pan that is harder to clean.

 

Q. What materials are NOT used?

A. It’s formulated without Teflon, PFAS, PFOAS, PTFEs, lead, cadmium, toxic metals, or potentially harmful materials. Q. What is the best way to clean the Always Pan?

A. Hand-washing is recommended with soapy water and a sponge (one is included!). The metal steamer basket is dishwasher safe. Since the spatula is made out of wood, it is also recommended to hand-wash that as well.

 

Q. Is the Always Pan safe to place in the oven?

A. No! The Always Pan was made to replace several cookware items, but it needs to stay on the stove. The Perfect Pot, however, is completely oven-safe!

Q. Is the Always Pan safe to use on induction cooktops?

A. Yes! Induction cooktops are more energy efficient, and the cast aluminum body of the pan is compatible.

 

Q. How do I keep the nonstick lasting long?

A. It is recommended to cook on low to medium heat when using the Always Pan. The occasional sear is totally fine though! Like mentioned above, high-smoke-point oils are also recommended to use when cooking so as to not leave a residue. Lastly, it is also recommended to let the pan cool down before washing, as extreme temperature change can cause the nonstick coating to break down over time.

  2. I have this pan and have really tried to love it. On the plus side, I love how evenly it cooks. And it was the BEST at making baja fish tacos. BUT while I found it was gorgeously nonstick at first, things now stick to it like any other pan. I always handwash it and have used the sponge, tried to keep heat low, let it cool down; I read all the directions! Not sure what I did wrong here. And I was so excited to buy more. Do you know if they have an exchange policy? I bought it in Feb. 2021. I’d love to give it another try.
