Hello, hello! I’m back today to share our Easter Table. Since Mr. Sugarplum and I will be on our annual ‘No-Kids-Allowed Trip’ during the holiday (read about last year’s trip to Banff here), we’re celebrating Easter with our kids this weekend. And before you assume we’re bad parents, we had no idea Easter was so late when we booked our trip!! Of course it didn’t change things once we figured it out. Chocolate eggs will taste just as good this weekend as they will next!
The kids love when I set a fancy table in the Dining Room that includes them, so I tried to appease my guilt make it special for them.
I fell in love with the napkins and flatware at World Market during their Friends & Family sale, so I built the table around their beautiful green and lavender colors.
I created the centerpiece with grocery store flowers and a box of Peeps. The flowers are arranged in a short water glass and placed inside a trifle dish lined with Peeps marshmallows.
I placed the {DIY} Magnolia Chargers on top of gold chargers for more height and stability. The tablecloth is simply a piece of inexpensive Spring fabric with the ends folded under.
For placecards, I drew our initials with glue on a plastic egg and covered it with glitter. I let them dry overnight, then filled the eggs with chocolates and placed in the cutest egg cups ever (also from World Market!)
I wanted a mix of metallics, so I combined brass West Elm napkin rings with the silver flatware and silver and brass candlesticks.
I found pink tapers on clearance at Pier 1, but Hobby Lobby has a large color selection as well. Since the kids are joining us at this table, I couldn’t resist adding the duck salt & pepper shakers from the Target Dollar Section!
The table is set and ready to go….now who’s cooking?!?
Oh, and here’s the latest on our own little Easter Bunnies!
Unless you have a heart of stone, are you dying over the sweetness of that face? They still haven’t opened their eyes, and they pop around like popcorn when you uncover them.

My favourite table you've done yet-adorable in every sense of the work- love love the fabric napkins and ducky marshamallows under the flowers. And those little babies….melt your heart!
Love all of it–especially the "chargers" and the peeps 🙂 You are so good at this!
The bunnies are adorable. We had some in a large flower urn one summer and unfortunately they didn't survive. Just be careful – they have very weak immune systems and have been known to pass away for no apparent reason. Opening and closing their nest causes a change in their body temp quickly which is probably part of why they pop around =) The downside is it might not be good for their little bodies. Good luck and hopefully they'll grow big and strong and not eat your garden if you have one =)
Fabulous, Love it all! I passed up the duck salt and pepper shakers at the dollar spot, but couldn't resist the little gnome 🙂
It is gorgeous! I love all of the colors, and so glad I found your blog! So inspirational! Those bunnies are so friggin cute – makes me want to get one – but I have no business getting another animal!
Love the table setting! I love the colour scheme and the mix of metals that you used! So perfect for spring & easter 🙂
Yes- why not have colored flatware! I love it- and the peeps are so cute! Enjoy your trip with your hubby!
Adorable! Nothing like peeps under glass! M.
So cute, cassie! Love those chargers. And can we talk about those bunnies. They are melting my heart.
What a good idea with the peeps! Also, I just can't get enough of your baby bunnies! They are so cute!
Those bunnies are so adorable and so is your table! How fun are those peeps with the flowers! Love the chargers and your color theme. Have a great getaway!
That table is incredible!! And can we talk about the bunnies?? So adorable!!!
The Peeps are adorable!
Oh my goodness, the PEEPS! I think the flower arrangement is really pretty anyway, but the peeps are extra awesome. Cute table, I bet your kids love it.
Cassie, it's stunning! It has just the right amount of fun and elegance (I especially love the peeps – genius). Basically, it's perfection (& yes, those bunnies are killing me with their sweetness!).
the centerpiece is sooo clever! of course i'd eat a peep every time i walked by it, but i have no self control.
love the green handled flatware.
and those bunnies! adorable!
I love the peeps in the flower vase!! Too cute. And, the bunnies are adorable.
Those bunnies really are precious! I'm all about the peeps you used as vase fillers…you are an evil genius. (c:
Amazing. I'm totally stealing the peeps and flower centerpiece idea, and I cannot wait for when my kids are old enough to decorate ahead of time without it getting poked or played with!!!!
I am loving the flatware! And I am so happy you kept the peep centerpiece – I think they were the perfect choice…..you know how I love an unexpected centerpiece! Now the question is – are you gonna eat the Peeps after Easter?
I love the whole setting! Your magnolia chargers look just perfect with the rest of the table and the glitter monogram eggs are so cute.
Love the peeps in the vase – bet they hold well!
And the bunnies are too much – thos little faces! Thanks for sharing.
such a pretty table… for some reason I am thinking this weekend was the greek orthodox easter, so you are in the clear :)! My 3-year old walked up to the computer just as I scrolled to the picture of the bunnies, she wants to know how they are going to carry her basket when they are so small 🙂
Lovely table setting! Everything is so well done, especially the "charges" what a great idea. I will try that next.
Cheers! =(^.^)=
Many beautiful details! Happy Easter!
