Off the Shelf

Thank you all so much for your kind comments on Friday’s post. It’s an amazing feeling to know you have friends everywhere backing you up! I’m constantly astounded by all the unexpected blessings blogging has brought to my life. I hope you know the feeling is mutual!!

The school year is now in full-swing, and life’s demands are picking up. These days I’m dreaming less about paint, and more about a quiet afternoon alone at the book store! Sitting with a pumpkin spice latte in hand (aaaah, Fall!), I could lose myself in these books.

This one isn’t out yet, but it looks to be another good addition to my Book Wish List!

Do you have any of these in your collection? What would you do with an afternoon to yourself?

___________________________________________________________________________________

And a very special Happy Birthday to my Mr. Sugarplum! I adore you!

    I'm so sad that the Borders right up the street closed its doors. I could get lost in there for hours! Now I have to drive 20 minutes to Barnes & Noble. On my most recent trip I picked up DesignSponge and have been flipping through it over&over&over again.

    Doesn't the thought of sitting in a quiet space and reading a great book sound like such a luxury? Sigh…I'd love to do the same!

    Oh. I love these books! I don't have any of them but several look good – esp. the Dwell and Adler numbers. My favorite hardcover decorating book is the Domino book. It's sooo good and even though I've had it for years, I see something new every time I flip through it. Oh how I wish I had saved those old Domino issues.

    Hope you're blowin' up the club for the Sugarplum's celebration! 😉 I am so with you on the quiet reading time. In fact, in my frenzy I subscribed to three more shelter mags so I can do just that {with my salted caramel mocha!}
