NYE Fun + Holiday Storage!

Hey hey, friends! I hope your week is off to a great start! My sweatpants streak started yesterday, and something tells me it will be a record-breaking streak, ha! At least with these joggers, I look like I made a small attempt at pulling myself together!

The annual battle has also begun in our house… me wanting to take all the Christmas decor down, and Mr. SP insisting it stays well in to January! Which team are you on? As much as I love the twinkly lights of Christmas, I’d have an elf pack it all up Christmas night if I could!

I added these tree storage bags and wreath bags to our organization a year or so ago, and they were game-changers! They are lightweight, but sturdy and waterproof, and so easy to pack the tree away for another year. This year I ordered a few other things for a more organized holiday clean-up… it takes a little more effort than I feel like this time of year, but I’m always so glad when next year’s holiday season rolls around!

Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to turn our attention to New Year’s Eve, which is only a few days away. We don’t have any big plans, but we still like to make it fun and festive at home. I rounded up some finds to make the celebration festive, whether you’re going out or staying in!

I lean towards Mr. Sugarplum. I subtract Christmas (gingerbread houses, Santas, etc.), leave up faux greenery and pinecones and add in more sparkle. Icicle branches, and twinkle lights make the cut. I want twinkle winter to help light the dark months.

I’m with you. I took everything down yesterday. Love Christmas but I want it all down when it’s over. I like to start with a clean slate after Christmas.
