{Living Room} Side Table Options

Woah-wee, you guys are an opinionated bunch! I love it! Thanks for weighing in on the lamps! Since I’m still on my painting break and it’s too hot to be outside, I’ve been doing a little online browsing. In the Living Room Plans I stated the side table was questionable. I do love the legginess, but the color is too dark and it’s a little too tall.

Sure I could paint it a lighter color, but the number of painted pieces in this room is starting to add up and I prefer a mix of natural, upholstered and painted pieces in a room. I know I want something airy to balance the weight of the heavy pieces, and I’m leaning towards a round shape since most of the furniture has such straight lines.

You know how you tend to forget about certain stores? Crate & Barrel is one of those stores for me, but when Megan showed us her beautiful new end tables from there, I hopped over and found a few I loved as well.

Jules Accent Tables $300

Moreno Nesting Table $400

I really love the brass finish, but those prices are a little steep for me, especially since the table isn’t a centerpiece of my Living Room. So I moved on to Pier 1.

3-Tier Mosaic Table $150

Then the goldmine that is Overstock.

Argento Accent Table $120

Not what I’m looking for, but who knew Overstock had acrylic tables?!

Acrylic Nesting Tables $125

Smart Bargains is my other favorite online discount site. They have a few tables that are definitely in a more comfortable price range.

Neo Barrel Table $80
Diagonal Linea Barrel Table $80

Twist Barrel Table $80

I was leaning towards one of these, when I spied these yummy images on Pinterest.

I was drooling over all the gold accents and coffee tables, when it dawned on me that I have the end table version of that coffee table! Well, probably an imitation of that coffee table since I found it at Home Goods. And mine has black legs, but that’s easily rectified! And it’s square, not round like I was hoping, but I already own it, so it’s free! Even better than round! It currently lives in our Guest Room, but fingers crossed the switcheroo works.

What retailers do you love, but tend to forget about? Do you forget about furniture in your home too?

It is so fun to shop for styles and pricing. I love Crate and Barrel as well however don't have 400 to spend on a side table.

I love to see a ceramic garden seat thrown in for an extra side table as well!

I agree, Crate and Barrel has some great tables right now but their prices are a little nuts for what you get. I'm still searching for a second side table for our apartment. Awesome that you "found" your table right in your house! That's like finding $20 in your pocket on laundry day! 🙂

I'm pretty obsessed with World Market. I never really forget about them for more than 12 hours. However, have you looked into some of their side tables? http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11095244 is just $70 and http://www.worldmarket.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11095232 is $170. I love how rustic it is. On a different note, I definitely think you should paint the door black.

The Jules and Moreno tables were options for a client not too long ago. We opted for Moreno as they needed more than one for larger groups..I like the Smart Bargain options too. So much choice!

Great little round up. I am looking for a little brass drum table. I love the table in that last photo. I don't have one that I have forgotten about, but my parents have a sweet one that I keep dropping hints about! Not sure they are working.

I do forget about pieces I already have! I spent months looking for a small scale upholstered chair for my Mom Cave, only to realize I have the perfect one in our bedroom…all it needs is a slipcover! Duh!
Pier One is a place I forget to look. Thanks for the reminder!

Awesome thing to remember! Hope that table works out. I tend to forget about Urban Outfitters the most for some reason. It has such fun quirky things, but I go there last…since I forget.

Lately I've been on such a thrifting kick that I've forgotten that retail is an option. My husband is definitely not complaining about that.

If my vote counts I love the overstock one! Think I might need to consider it also. Nice find! I do love the coffee table you found on Pininterest – I also need a rectangle one for our new house – the square is not working out.
