Happy Wednesday from the middle of the Baltic Sea, and welcome back to this week’s Jean Jacket series. We took a break yesterday for the Powder Bath makeover update, but I’ll be sharing more jean jacket styles the rest of this week.
Today’s look is sassy enough for a night out, but the addition of the jean jacket easily adapts it for work, too.

Mama Sugarplum discovered these stretchy cropped pants in a recent Dressing Room Diaries, and she looked so darling I had to have them, too. They’re a super thick, extra-stretchy pant, with a straight leg and ankle length…and perfect for heels, wedges, and sandals. Even my favorite sneakers look cute with them!
They come in several solids and patterns, and even a Bermuda short.
Fit Tip: I’m wearing regular 0, but my mom wears them in petite. I actually ordered about 4 sizes to be sure I had the right fit (cheers to free shipping and returns, Nordstrom!!). The petites were too short on me (you want them to hit the slimmest part of your ankle), and the regular 2 hung a little too low on my hips.
I’ve had this top a few years, and it perfectly dresses-up pants, skirts and jeans. I pair it with my favorite no-back bra, and I don’t have to worry about straps.

These pants came with me to Scandinavia, and they’ve been perfect for nights when I want to be warm and comfortable, but also a bit dressed-up. Today is our last full-day at sea, so we’re resting up for the final leg of our trip before heading home this weekend. It’s been amazing, but I’m ready to squeeze my babes!

This post is created in collaboration with Nordstrom, but all ideas, clothes, and sidewalk strutting are my own. Thank you for supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors.
I love the details of the top! Super cute for summer!

Well, aren’t you just TOO CUTE!!! Those pants look great on you!
This is such a fabulous look! Love the classic black and white with the comfort of the jean jacket.
You are rocking this outfit. You have nothing to worry about, because you can put og a potato sack and look beautiful. Thanks for always showing us how to save $$ by taking one outfit and wearing several different ways.
