Hi Sugarplum!

Hawaii Hikes

July 26, 2022

*This post is created in collaboration with Vuori and ShopStyle Collective, but all product selections, styling, and beach hikes are my own. Thank you for supporting Hi Sugarplum sponsors!*

Happy Tuesday, loves! Sadly, today is our last full day before heading home tomorrow night. Maui has been absolutely magical… the weather, the scenery, the adventures!

But more than anything, I’m going to miss the uninterrupted family time! It’s been just the four of us for 10 days, and I’ve loved every second of it! It’s been years since we’ve done this, and I think we all appreciate how close it brought us back together.

I’ll write a full Maui Trip Report soon, including where we stayed, ate, adventured, and more. One of the things that surprised me most about Maui (this is our first time here), are all the incredible hikes… most of which, we accidentally stumble upon!

So it’s a good thing I packed many of my favorite Vuori pieces for Hawaii, because they’ve been perfect for just about any trek or adventure we cook up!

You know I’m obsessed with Vuori’s jogger’s (I wore them for the flight here!)… there’s nothing quite like the DreamKnit fabric! The Halo Performance Cropp Top and Shorts are made of the same dreamy fabric, and have been perfect for hiking and lounging.

I can’t adequately explain their signature DreamKnit fabric and fit, other than they are softer than soft, super lightweight without feeling too thin, and so comfortable you’ll never want to take them off.

Sugarplum Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small in both.

I wore the Mudra Plyo Tank and Clementine Shorts when we drove the Road to Hana (more on that soon!)… they were lightweight and perfect for hiking, riding, and I even ended up swimming in them!

The Mudra Plyo Tank has all the performance details like moisture-wicking stretch rib fabric and UPF 30+ sun coverage. It even has a medium-support bra built-in with removable cups.

The Clementine Shorts are in an ultra-lightweight 4-way stretch fabric, with a breathable bikini-brief mesh liner, and super quick-drying. They’re also anti-odor, and have a slightly longer inseam.

Sugarplum Fit Tip: I’m wearing a small in the top and shorts.

Clearly we love exploring beautiful Maui, and I couldn’t be happier doing it in Vuori! In fact, my entire family has been decked out in Vuori faves… the guys are living in the Kore Shorts and Strato Tech Tees, and Little Miss pretty much just snags all my stuff! But the Halo Performance Crop is definitely a top fave of hers!

I can’t recommend Vuori enough, for both their products and as a brand. They are dedicated to ethical manufacturing and sustainability, plus their Investment in Happiness means they fully guarantee you’ll be happy with your purchase, or return for free.

Okay, we’re off for our final hike… today we’re checking out the ‘Iao Valley! Aloha!

You may already be home, but if not, and you have to check out early from your hotel, do the drive up to Haleakala. Beautiful scenery, above the clouds, and a great way to fill the day. We also had a late lunch in Paia at Milagros. The Perouse Lava Fields were also really cool. Just keep driving until you can’t drive any more. We were so glad we did that! Safe travels home!

Hey, fellow Maui lover here. I’d love to know what hikes you’ve discovered. Iao valley I know about. One looks to be the shoreline walk in Wailea? Please share any other discoveries for my next trip.
Can’t wait to get back out there.

And thanks for any hiking tips.
