hi Sugarplum!

{Halloween} Cheap Arrangement

October 6, 2010

I’m not the type that has crates of decorations for every season. Mostly because I don’t have the storage for it, but also because I prefer more original decor. (Christmas is a different story, I find space for those decorations!)

It’s also fun to create things when you have kids. However, this project did make me question what’s left of my sanity….I mean, spray painting sticks?!?!

100_0761

We gathered the sticks from our neglected side yard, gave them a quick shot of flat black spray paint, then arranged them in an old bucket I found in the pool shed.

100_0764

Throw in a skull head from the Dollar Store, and a black tulle bow, and you have a fun, cheap, creative Halloween arrangement. (And you tricked your kids into cleaning up the yard! muahahahaha!!)

100_0765

I’m using it on my porch (I’ll show you the full, completed porch Friday).
What is the craziest thing you ever painted? Do you have any favorite cheap Halloween projects?

Now that is cute! I'm not big on halloween stuff or skulls, but for some odd reason this works. 🙂

That is a Halloween decoration I could actually live with! Most of them are so cheesy, but I really like this. Extra nice that you tricked your kids into cleaning up…bwahaha!

This looks very cool Cassy. The kids are gonna love coming to your house on Halloween. My Halloween decor is sorely lacking- I only have a giant spider (like 4 feet wide) that I found at Pier 1- but nothing to go with him!
