Hi Sugarplum!

Haircare For Him

August 29, 2019

We’ve all been lost in the aisles of Target…maybe not literally lost, but definitely figuratively. In fact, there’s not much I love more than a solo trip to Target!! Wandering aisle after aisle, especially the beauty department! But funny enough, I’m not the haircare junkie in our house…it’s Mr. SP!!

Many of you know he used to be a professional musician, in fact, that’s how we met! He was playing a show and I was in the audience. I could cringe thinking about it! Back then his hair was wild and curly, and hung half way down his back. No exaggeration!

And even more surprising, Mama Sugarplum loved him (and his hair!) from the moment they met! He was different from anyone I’d ever dated, but she knew right away we’d end up together. Twenty-five years later I guess she was right!

But I digress…all that’s to say, Mr. SP cares about his hair. And really cares about the kind of products he puts in it! He’s constantly checking labels to make sure the products we bring home are clean and clear. That’s one of the reasons he’s such a fan of Harrys Hair & Style Collection. When the brand asked us to collaborate, it was an easy decision considering our bathroom is already stocked with their products!

All of the Harry’s hair care and style products are free from sulfates, parabens, or dyes, so you know you’re putting the best ingredients on your hair and skin. They also work incredibly well and smell amazing. And just as amazing is they’re super-affordable and conveniently available at Target!

Taming Cream | Shave Cream | Texturizing Putty

Now that he wears his hair short #praise, the Texturizing Putty is his go-to daily styling product. He warms a little dollop between his palms, and rubs it through his hair for medium hold and control.

It’s not sticky at all, and fully-dries without leaving a wet look. In fact, you wouldn’t even know he was wearing product, but his hair stays just where he wants it.

Notice the peeks of our new master bathroom?? It’s like our own private oasis, and we love it! I’ll share more pics and details soon!

Harry’s 2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner is the real fan-fave in our house…not only does Mr. SP love it, but both kids do, as well. It smells incredible with a rich lather that rinses clean, leaving your hair feeling moisturized. Our son even said his college roommate has started using it. It’s hard to find a better 2-in-1 for the price!

2-in-1 Shampoo & Conditioner

I can’t say I was sad to see the long hair go, but it is fun to look back at pictures. But how is it that guys just get better with age?! I swear Mr. SP looks better now than all those years ago!! Is your guy picky about his hair products? Have you tried Harry’s line of clean and affordable hair care products?

Haha…I’ve often asked the same question..why is it that men seem to get better looking with age? Seems to be true for most! Well..I would’ve like that long hair of his…I can see why you would’ve been attracted to him! 😍

Even though this isn’t exactly a man makeover, I can’t believe you didn’t post a picture of his before hair! I kept scrolling, thinking I might have missed it… Pretty please???

I am wondering why all the companies are adding conditioner to their shampoo. My husband has a very oily scalp and it seems to me that conditioner is the last thing he needs. Am I wrong? I gave up trying to find a shampoo without conditioner… I may have to try the putty on my son’s hair. He doesn’t like how stiff/sticky gels are.

Often times our hair makes more oil bc it’s dry…he might actually like a 2-in-1 formula! My son has longer hair that gets fairly oily, and he loves the Harrys…makes his hair softer with less frizz.

Hi Melissa, I’ll share the full bathroom soon. But the mirror was actually just made by my contractor with a sheet of mirror and metal framing.

Hello! Off subject… but I spotted a wooden tray over your freestanding bathtub. I am looking for something similar. Could you share where I should look? Thank you!

Hi Heather! My decorator, A Well Dressed Home, brought that in, so unfortunately I’m not sure of the source!!
