Between the new outdoor area and master bathroom, it’s been a busy year of remodeling projects in the Sugarplum Casa! We hadn’t planned to tackle them back-to-back, but plans change when your rockstar contractor tells you he’s retiring! After 15 years of projects together, we trust him implicitly, so we moved up the bathroom remodel to fit his schedule.
The patio space finished earlier this Summer (full reveal coming soon!), and the bathroom is in the home stretch. Not a moment too soon, either, since I’ve been sharing with Little Miss for six weeks! After four years of living in this house, we’re finally honing in on making every space feel like ‘us.’
One of the rooms I’m asked about most is our Dining Room. The bold and bright space makes me so happy, so oftentimes I use it as a make-shift office just so I can be in it! It’s been several years since the makeover, but many of the pieces are still available…and on sale!

One of the most frequently asked questions is about the acrylic chairs. They are surprisingly comfortable and sturdy, and I love the option to stack them when we need to clear the space. They also wipe clean with a damp rag!
The navy accent chairs rotate between living on the back wall, or as captains chairs, and are amazing chairs for the price!

Great edgy look! I know what you mean about contractors. Fortunately we started with ours when they were young and hungry! Now they are big, successful and not going anywhere for awhile. Isn’t your link to my daughter who is on the hunt for DR chairs that are affordable. Have a great day.
